Two months ago we celebrated International Mother Language Day. Usually on 21st February, the day is observed all over the world as International Mother Language Day. Because it is a day recognized by UNESCO. On February 21, 1952, when our Bangladesh was a part of Pakistan and was East Pakistan, there was a movement to demand Bengali as the national language of Pakistan, and in that movement, the police of that time fired shots, killing Rafiq Shafiq Barkat Jabbar and many other unknown people.
Since then, every year in our country, starting from every educational institution, every institution or individual level, the International Mother Language Day is celebrated with due dignity. On this occasion, floral wreaths are offered at Shaheed Minar in educational institutions and barefoot rallies are also taken out. Anyway in our institution we organized a cultural program where one of our fifth class students performed a dance with a patriotic song which was wonderful.
