Hoy luego de una larga sesión de producción, creo que logré algo que me gustaría compartir.
He estado muy enganchado a la artista Cami y su nuevo estilo que es muy electrónico y con un sonido muy house, así que por alguna razón quería intentar algo cercano.
Pero cómo siempre sé que no puedo hacer nada parecido intento combinar con mas influencias y referencias que tengo.
En este caso tenía claro que el sonido atmosférico y cinemático lo quería encontrar intentando un sonido sencillo casi de balada instrumental, lleno de tristeza como lo hace Max Richter.
Max Richter es un gran compositor que conocí gracias a la serie The Leftovers, la cual seguro le debo 1000 posts... Esta serie tiene muchas composiciones de él que suelen ser sencillas, tristes, depresivas diría yo y algunas nostálgicas, lo cierto es que ese sonido a mí me atrae mucho.
Entonces creo que acercar este mundo con el de la electrónica o el house sin ser para nada un experto, podrían dar un proceso agradable.
Además, he estado metiéndome en el mundo de la serie Tales from The Loop, también una serie con una banda sonora que me pareció bastante parecida a The Leftovers en cuanto a vibra y sensaciones.
La verdad es que cuando ya tenía los ritmos, acordes y melodías hechos, no me vi ni siquiera en la idea de agregar mi voz o cantar algo encima, porque siento que esto debería ser un track puramente instrumental sin mi voz...
Pero al notar que de igual manera necesitaba algo más para cerrar el track, tomé una grabación de mi voz de otra canción y busqué la manera de que encajara sin cambiar el tempo, logrando creo que un sonido cercano a melodías árabes sin tener esa intención, es lo bueno de componer sin pensar y sin buscar algo exacto.
Y para cerrar se me ocurrió la idea de agregar voces de un personaje de la serie The Leftovers y lo añadí a la composición para cerrar patrones, siempre quise tener la voz de una chica hablando en algo electrónico.

Today after a long production session, I think I accomplished something that I would like to share.
I've been really hooked on the artist Cami and her new style which is very electronic and with a very house sound, so for some reason I wanted to try something close.
But as I always know that I can't do anything similar I try to combine with more influences and references I have.
In this case it was clear to me that I wanted to find the atmospheric and cinematic sound by trying a simple sound almost like an instrumental ballad, full of sadness like Max Richter does.
Max Richter is a great composer that I met thanks to the series The Leftovers, which for sure I owe him 1000 posts... This series has many compositions by him that are usually simple, sad, depressive I would say and some nostalgic, the truth is that this sound attracts me a lot.
So I think that bringing this world closer to the world of electronica or house music without being an expert at all, could give a nice process.
In addition, I've been getting into the world of the series Tales from The Loop, also a series with a soundtrack that seemed to me quite similar to The Leftovers in terms of vibe and sensations.
The truth is that when I already had the rhythms, chords and melodies done, I didn't even see the idea of adding my voice or singing something on top of it, because I feel that this should be a purely instrumental track without my voice...
But noticing that I needed something else to close the track, I took a recording of my voice from another song and I looked for a way to make it fit without changing the tempo, achieving I think a sound close to arabic melodies without having that intention, that's the good thing about composing without thinking and without looking for something exact.
And to close I came up with the idea of adding voices of a character from the series The Leftovers and I added it to the composition to close patterns, I always wanted to have the voice of a girl talking in something electronic.
