These diss tracks alone tell a very interesting story, but let's go a little further back: the pusha T. Drake's pull. Drake for a long time hid his son for two reasons; he is a white skinned boy and his mother is a former porn actress. For the same reason, when pusha T got annoyed with Drake and released his Diss track, he publicly mentioned Adonis (drake's son) and told Drake to take care of the child. Along with this, some lines have been on the mouths of rappers who have issues with Drake, like the weeknd who in one song says "I'll never be one of those people who hides a child".
But beyond that, a few years ago Drake had a very strange "friendship" relationship with Milly Bobby Brown, Eleven from Strangers Things, which many fans labeled as something strange and even a bit pedophilic. This is not the first time Drake has been seen with an underage girl, as he has unknowingly uploaded underage girls in his concerts; however, it is not an excuse since he has also done it knowing that they are underage, and he is always walking the fine line of harassment.
Because of this, Kendrick gets emotional and uses that data against him in his diss track. Kendrick starts off relatively smooth, but when Drake responds and brings his family into it (Drake mentions that Kendrick has beaten his wife and that the wife is unfaithful), Kendrick doesn't hold back his hatred and, on Meet the Grahams releases one of the most disturbing diss tracks in all of rap history. He talks about Drake's mother, his son, Drake, his father and also an alleged daughter, with a tone and a melody that makes anyone's skin crawl; this is unbelievable and got no response, but Drake's fans annoyed Kendrick by saying that this tirade had no head or tail for being something "out of tune".
This is where we get to the last part of the story for now: the release of Not Like Us. Kendrick wanted to make a "danceable" song and it's amazing, because he made a diss track with chorus and video, something you hardly ever see on a mixtape. In Not Like Us Kendrick mentions that he still has songs to answer and also talks about Drake's latent "pedophilia" doing it as a joke, and this is something that only Kendrick can do and not any other rapper, why? Because a throwback is supposed to be written once, that's why you don't see many throwbacks with videos or many throwbacks to the same person, but Kendrick has the ability to do it because he is backed by a whole county and a community, because he already does it for fun, and this has made the song sound around the world, something that had never been seen before. A song that explicitly mocks an alleged pedophile playing in bars and music festivals, a song that talks about how no one respects Drake reaching number 1 in global top and also, most likely, becoming nominated for best song of the year and with a video that surpassed a million views in one day, making this an important precedent in history.

Por si solos estos diss track ya cuentan toda una historia muy interesante, pero vayamos un poco más atrás: la tiradera de pusha T. Drake durante un largo tiempo escondió a su hijo por dos razones; es un niño de piel blanca y su madre es una ex actriz porno. Por lo mismo, cuándo pusha T se fastidió de Drake y lanzó su Diss track, mencionó públicamente a Adonis (el hijo de drake) y le dijo a Drake que se hiciera cargo del niño. Junto a esto, algunas líneas han estado en boca de los raperos que tienen problemas con Drake, como the weeknd que en una canción dice “nunca seré una de esas personas que esconde un hijo”.
Pero más allá de eso, hace unos años Drake tuvo una relación de “amistad” muy rara con Milly Bobby Brown, Eleven de Strangers Things, que muchos fanáticos tildaron de algo extraño e inclusive un poco pedófilo. Esta no es la primera vez que Drake se ve con una chica menor, ya que en sus conciertos ha subido a chicas menores de edad sin saberlo; sin embargo, no es una excusa puesto que lo ha hecho también sabiendo que son menores de edad, y siempre está caminando la fina línea del acoso.
Por eso, Kendrick se emociona y usa esos datos en su contra en sus diss track. Kendrick empieza relativamente suave, pero cuándo Drake responde y mete a su familia en esto (Drake menciona que Kendrick ha golpeado a su esposa y que la esposa le es infiel), Kendrick no reprime su odio y, en Meet the Grahams lanza uno de los Diss tracks más perturbadores de toda la historia del rap. Habla de la madre de drake, de su hijo, de drake, de su padre y también de una presunta hija, con un tono y una melodía que eriza la piel a cualquiera; esto es increíble y no obtuvo respuesta, pero los fans de Drake fastidiaron a Kendrick diciendo que esa tiradera no tenía ni pies ni cabeza por ser algo “fuera de tono”.
Es aquí donde llegamos a la última parte de la historia por ahora: el lanzamiento de Not Like Us. Kendrick quiso hacer una canción “bailable” y es asombroso, porque hizo un diss track con coro y vídeo, cosa que difícilmente se ve en una tiradera. En Not like us Kendrick menciona que sigue teniendo canciones para responder y además habla de la latente “pedofilia” de Drake haciéndolo en forma de chiste, y esto es algo que solamente puede hacerlo Kendrick y no cualquier otro rapero, ¿por qué? Porque se supone que una tiradera de escribe de una vez, por eso no se ven muchas tiraderas con videos o muchas tiraderas a una misma persona, pero Kendrick tiene la posibilidad de hacerlo porque está respaldado por todo un condado y una comunidad, porque ya lo hace por diversión, y esto ha hecho que la canción suene alrededor del mundo, algo que nunca se había visto. Una canción que se burla explícitamente de un presunto pedófilo sonando en bares y festivales de música, una canción que habla de cómo nadie respeta a Drake llegando a ser número 1 en top global y además, lo más probable, llegando a ser nominada a mejor canción del año y con un vídeo que superó el millón de vistas en un día, lo que hace esto un precedente importante en la historia.

Everything you tell here about those Rap songs and their genre is the reason why I don't like this style of music. Their lyrics are full of bigotry, hatred, repudiation, you said - he said, so much toxicity. I mean no. Goodbye to these people and this style of music.
