Triple-tuned Tuesday: Nigerian vibe

in Music2 years ago

In Nigeria, I can confidently tell you that we are talented when it comes to music. We are blessed with talents in all genres of music, from hip-hop, juju, gospel, apala, and afro pop. From past generations until the present, music has been food for the soul. Our forefathers enjoyed music so much either at their houses, parties, or even in the bar or canteen where they went for refreshment, and they have good testimonies about the good music has done for them.

The love of music in Nigeria isn't diminishing. I can say it's getting more rooted day by day as new generations are getting more into music, and as a lover of music, I am not left behind. I enjoy every bit of good music, and this made me follow any artist with good lyrics and vibes. Today I will be taking you down the memory lane of one of Nigeria's oldies by a popularly known artist and then to the recent vibes kings in town.

His name is Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye, popularly known as King Sunny Ade. He is popularly known for juju music and a bit of Western rock and roll. He has been a blessing to music lovers, not only in Nigeria but all over the world. Listening to his songs always gives hope because of his powerfully packed lyrics; in some cases, he sings gospel just to appreciate the goodness of God. Not minding his form of singing, he is one of my favorite oldies, and from generation to generation, his songs remain on the top chart because all of his songs are evergreen and find their way into the present situation.

This man named Fela Anikulapo Kuti is a Nigerian singer who reigned in the 80s. He is known for Afrobeat, which fused American blues, jazz, and funk with traditional Yoruba accents. He is known for his vibes and actions on stage, and I can say he is a good artist when it comes to singing. His songs are always related to the happenings in society—things we can see around us. He is an activist, and he uses his songs to speak out the voices of people.

This is a new upcoming artist who has found his way into the hearts of Nigerians through his style of singing and charisma. His name is Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi, popularly known as Seyi Vibez, and his lyrics are always encouraging in one way or another. As a modern artist, he performs in a way that pleases the youth, and he also bonds with them more with his vibes.

These three are my favorites for this week, their songs have helped Nigerians in many ways and we appreciate them till date.

Thanks for your time on my blog.

Excellent, I look forward to listening to this now. Wow King Sunny Ade is unbelievable, I really enjoyed that now I must say, a way more than any Nigerian Hip Hop or anything else I have heard, it is really really good. I enjoyed Seyi Vibez too, that was a good song and good production
