So this is definitely a first for us..... we will try to summarize the story behind this unlikely collaboration as best we can. Earlier this month we were contacted by Jack Olmsted via Intsagram to potentially collaborate with someone we didn't know yet. Of course, we initially had some doubts, but we eventually decided to check out Frank's blog and explore the body of work from the 71-year-old UK-based singer/songwriter in greater depth. What we found both surprised and delighted us, a true music lover who had been able to reach millions with his heartfelt broken down original songs and covers. Always simple, voice and guitar, yet always impactful as only few can transmit. There was a raw magic that immediately hooked us and shattered the mystery of how he had amassed such a following. While browsing his music we came across this original tune which, while being stunningly beautiful, didn't have as many views as some of the other songs he had done. Ahha we said, we found our collaboration possibility. We immediately connected to the lyrics and melody, mesmerized by the beauty and power of the simplicity. Franks delivery is poignant yet joyful, a balance few are able to capture in a performance. We decided to simply add our voices in an effort to maintain this, and to honor the song. To Jack we thank you for finding us (we believe he saw our cover of "Wicked Game") and for inviting us to connect. It has been wonderful getting to know you and to learn that you facilitate these collaborations simply out for the love of the art. To Frank, we are thrilled to join you on your beautiful song and to be a small part of your musical journey. You have touched and continue to touch so many with your authentic love of music and we only hope your messages continue to be shared far and wide.
