Hello & happy #threetunetuesday to the wonderful Hive #music community!
As we speed our way into February and toward Spring I'm already feeling the need to recharge some of that energy that I've been lacking through the long winter months. With that said, here are my selections for this week. I hope it gives you the same boost that these songs will give me.
1. Nuclear Power Trio - A Clear and Present Rager
What happens when you cross Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un I hear you ask? The answer is an obvious one...SHRED FUNK! 🙃🤔 A side project comprised of members from several respected Thrash/Death Metal outfits, this band is truly an exercise in creativity with no brakes!

2. Social Distortion - Don't Drag Me Down
Social Distortion are a band that were introduced to me by a friend at the age of 16 and for the last 20 years has remained one of my personal favourites. This is Punk Rock in all of it's rebellious glory! Something bothering you?...stick this in your eyes and give it the middle finger! 😝

3. Trivium - Anthem (We Are the Fire)
Taken from Trivium's album 'The Crusade', this is a track that bursts with energy and enthusiasm! Although this album is often seen as a stumble by hardcore fans of the band, I still very much enjoy blasting out the chorus and chanting sections of this track, even if it is cheesy as hell! (As long as there's nobody else is around!) 😜

That's it's for me this week, hope you all enjoy the tunes! All of the tracks above are available on Spotify as well as other streaming services so please support the artist if you enjoy what you hear. I'll be back next week for a special Valentine's Day edition so keep your eyes peeled for that. It should be a laugh at the very least!
Nice one, these songs definitely give a boost and pack a punch!! Nuclear Power Trio certainly is "creativity with no brakes" - really enjoyed that jam and the video is gas!
Social Distortion - Don't Drag Me Down -- cool to have gotten introduced to them at 16 and still a big fan all these years later. I can see why, seem a solid band.
You should check out the rest of the NPT release, especially 'Grab Em by the Pyongyang'. Hahaha
Ha ha, I'll have to check them out
Greetings from here. I was struck by your cover image that belongs to the animated movie Heavy Metal. I saw it years ago and it is a spectacle. Excellent your recommendations for a good start of the week with lots of energy and strength.
Thank you for stopping by, it's much appreciated. Glad you liked the selections this week.
