After many months of anticipation (and paying off the cost $$ of the tickets) and after many MANY years of wanting to, I finally saw one of my favourite musicians and the living legend that she is, live in concert at the historic and stylish Forum theatre last night!

So my best friend Cath, traveled 3.5hrs South from her home town on the NSW/Victorian border by train to Melbourne for the night and we joined about a 1000 other long term, dedicated fans of Melissa Etheridge and squashed ourselves in, shoulder to shoulder to all sing and dance with Melissa and what a night it was!

And it was freakin AWESOME!
What a powerhouse she is!
Such an amazing guitarist- all round musician actually, playing not only the guitar, but also the Harmonica and the drums too!
OMG and her voice! 😱
It is soooo powerful and full of emotion as she sings the lyrics to each of her songs- songs that were written by her from certain events that have influenced and shaped her life so far.
So ladies and gentlemen, girls, boys and others, without further ado, I would like to introduce you to the magnificent Melissa Etheridge and the brilliant band of musicians backing her!

Well, this is exactly how Melissa Etheridge deserves to be presented. Pure, hand-made music and a very enthusiastic audience. Including two ladies who seemed to have a lot of fun 😊😎
Many years ago, I dared to make a comparison between Melissa Etheridge and Gianna Nannini. Gianna is clearly the loser because she has no respect for her audience. She is arrogant and conceited. Melissa has a lot more class!
Yes, she is very authentic as a person and quite grassroots in her music too, I means considering that she only had 3 other band members backing her, rather than some bands that are so saturated with backing musicians, so very raw and understated, but that's what give it the power.
And definitely an enthusiastic audience- one of the best that I've been in!
And those 2 loud girls singing and dancing...😆🤣😂😅
Oh yeah, definitely worth the wait and a shame it was over all too quickly...
And she is one singer I would love to see live in concert again someday.
