So, I actually filmed huge sections of this process after realizing that the photos weren't helping to get my messages across. There are some simple things to remember when you do this by hand for the 1st time (or after a few times... lol). Eventually, after discovering that through the process, most of the instructional videos sucked, I pieced it all together and made a YouTube instructional video!
I used to, when I was about 13, restring my guitar using my teeth and a pair of blunt scissors that acted like plyers. Do not try THAT at home 🤦♀️
Ok, so major things to remember are:
Love your guitar. Spend time looking after it and bonding with it. Each guitar is unique and it's actually a really rewarding process.
Have a decent pair of plyers on hand that can both hold strings in place as well as cut off bits that are in the way.
You will swear, quite a lot and have strings spontaneously pop off the bottom because you didn't tie the knots properly (this can give you a hell of a fright while retuning)
Be patient with yourself. Each mistake is a learning experience. There is a good reason that the strings are much longer than what you actually need to make room for human error. I mean, don't be a total nitwit but don't beat yourself up either If a string spontaneously comes loose and smacks you in the face.
Have a cat
Hi there, very good, I see you are using Ernie Balls strings on your Nylon guitar, I usually use Ernie Balls on Acoustic Steel Guitars but I have not tested their Nylon strings yet, Here in Iran we are using La Bella strings for Nylon Guitars, as its brand is more famous for Nylon Guitars.
sometimes to make it faster I cut parts of a paper and make a small piece of it and put them in some holes so it will keep the strings tighter so soon and I can even make the strings shorter and it will be helpful in that case, especially for narrow strings of Acoustic guitars as they keep sliding and coming out of those holes.
Thank you for your awesome tutorial, keep up the good work! 😀
Thanks for the great paper tips! I'll definitely give that a try 😊

Such a beaufudkl initiative to lecture us on this.
I remember when I started to learn thw guitar, my greatest fear was tuning or rearranging the guitar.
Nice work dear
It doesn't have to be so scary. The scariest part is getting started 😁😉
