Good Evening, Hive Fam :3
How's your week been?
GET YOUR HEADPHONES
Today, we have one of my more fun songs to play, Eleven. It's the first time I've recorded it in nearly...funnily enough, eleven months. 37 audio tracks later, I think it sounds delightful. I gave the old one a listen and I have to say it's almost painful listening to the dreadful quality. I hope you can see a difference. Here's the old video in case you want to compare and contrast. You tell the difference just in the thumbnails.
I have very exciting news :D
I ordered new equipment!
I'd like to tell you a little bit about it.
It has been over a year since I got my first gathering of equipment. I didn't spend as much as I wanted to. Only a little over a grand.
First Item!
The guitar: Squier Contemporary Active Stratocaster HH/Flat Black
$450
This boi is about 125 more than the last one I got. Focusing on the surface, it's so fucking aesthetically pleasing. It has an almost pastel black paint job/finish that looks different with every perspective. Depending on the lighting, it can look quite slick!
It also has a super sexy inverted tuning peg system which is interesting...I'll get back to you on whether or not that's annoying.
The bridge looks like it's easy to maintain. It won't float after some months usage like with a lot of the Squire Strats I've purchased before. It literally locks.
But most importantly, the active pick ups.
For most of my time as a guitar player, I've had passive pick ups. It wasn't until recently I understood the difference.
I've been so very unhappy with the sound I've been producing and I'm told active pick ups are really what I need in a guitar. We'll see if this makes a difference.
Second Item!
A Focusrite Scarlett 8i6. I'm currently using a 2i4 and I have to say, it just doesn't have the stuff to handle my heaviness, even with a new and more appropriate guitar. The baby is so sexyyyyy
Lookittttttt:
I got a DI Box which is supposed to help with too high of a decibel rate, peaking and general overload of sound.
Also got a new drumpad, which will be able to access my entire virtual drumset, all with buttons.
This will make producing beats a lot easier. I've been using a pad with piano keys and my mouse, which can lead to rhythmic issues.
Definitely painting over those yellow buttons.
And finally, fancy German headphones! If there's anything Germans are known for, it's making comfy and useful hardware. I'm currently using 13 dollar Behringer headphones that are seriously uncomfortable. Like a few hours of wearing them, and your ears feel like they worked out. They've been dropped so many times, they rattle. And the wires are wornnnnn.
So, this should definitely help..I hope. Dunno if your ears are unhappy regardless of what you're wearing for several hours.
Everything is supposed to be arriving today. So I'll have a new demo for you by the weekend. Can't fucking wait....:DD
Expect a post very, very soon.
I hope everyone's week goes splendidly and wish you all nothing but good vibes.
See you all very soon.
Give me your thoughts on the demo!
Thank you for the continued support.
Love you all.

Good deal on the gadgets I must say, I trust Behringer products very much, bought a Behringer sound mixer and headphone some years back.
I wanted to set up my own mini studio then, but life happened. Maybe in time, I will be inspired to Go for it. Good music, keep it up.
Thank you :3 Hey I wrote a song for that.
Dont wanna get on my high horse or anything but...Its never too late, youre never too old. Sounds cliche, i know. But the time you begin your journey is entirely up to you. Get on the motherfucker because the clock is ticking.
Thanks for the advice, will get back on the horse soon, just waiting for the right time.
CONGRATS on securing some sweet new equipment, dude you deserve it soooooo much! I love the new version of the song. It's been amazing being on this journey with youuuu!!
Thank you as always, O Wonderful Lyndsss
