Hola Hive,
Para el cover de hoy decidí tocar La Vida Mejor, del grupo La Vida Bohème que, si no lo conocen, son un grupo de aquí de Venezuela. En lo personal, me gusta como combinan elementos del rock con elementos latinos.
Hace unos días recordé otra canción de este álbum (Será, lanzado en 2013) y escuchándolo llegué a esta, que es una de mis preferidas. Al principio me pareció que la línea del bajo era más sencilla que las que he grabado últimamente, pero definitivamente no hay ninguna canción que sea fácil de grabar, aunque no sea muy compleja, sobretodo porque a diferencia de grabar solo para el audio, cuando grabo un cover mi meta es grabarlo todo en una sola toma, como es normal, pero no es fácil mantener la concentración, recordar todos los detalles, y mantener el tempo, de hecho, podrán notar algunos detalles en esto último.
Pero lo más importante para mí en este momento es hacer algo, que es mejor que no hacer nada, recordar divertirme un poco con esto, y como leí por ahí, concentrarme en progresar, en lugar de intentar ser perfecto.
En fin, eso es todo por esta vez, espero les guste el pequeño chiste al principio, y el resto del cover

Hey Hive,
For today’s cover I decided to play La Vida Mejor (The Better Life) by the band La Vida Bohème (The Bohème Life), that in case you don’t know them, they are a band form here, Venezuela. I really like how the mix rock and latin elements in their music.
A few days ago I remembered another song from this album (Será, released in 2013) and listening to it I got to this one, which is one of my favorites. At the beginning this bassline seemed to be simpler than the ones I’ve been recording lately, but definitely there’s no song which easy to record, even if it is not too complex, especially because unlike recording just the audio, when I record a cover my goal is to do it in one shot, as is commonly do, but it isn’t easy to keep focus, remember all the details, and keep the tempo, indeed, you’ll be able to notice this last one.
But the most important for me in this moment is to do something, which is better than doing nothing, remember myself to have some fun with this, and as I once read around, focus on progress, not perfection.
Anyways, that’s it for this time, I hope you like that tiny joke at the beginning, and the rest of the cover.
