Happy Tuesday! Joining the #TTT or #ThreeTuneTuesday🤘🏻, thanks to @ablaze for coming up with this amazing idea.

It's been a month since I went to NIKI's Buzz Tour Concert, and I'm still not over it. My camera roll is still a mess with all the videos and pics I haven't sorted yet 😅 Every time I rewatch my clips, I get all the feels again. Hearing NIKI live just hits different!

When I convinced @gabbiebi to come with me and our friend, Addie to see NIKI live, she was so close to saying no because she barely knew any of NIKI's songs. At the end of the concert, she became a fan 💓 Nothing makes me happier than introducing to someone a song or an artist and seeing them completely fall for the music 🫶🏼

NIKI's Buzz album is a product of her trying out a different genre of music. Honestly, that's one of the things I love about her, she experiments but her songs always deliver.

So, for this blog, I'm sharing my top 3 favorite tracks from the Buzz album.

🎶 Buzz

It's the accidental touch when you don't mean to
The thickest tension
It's the millisecond freeze-frame after good news
Or an unexpected mention

As usual, NIKI masterfully used a lot of metaphors into her songs to describe the fleeting feeling of anticipation in this song. This song is the feeling of excitement and nervousness into one. When she performed in Manila, she sang this as her opening song and it was the perfect choice! 💓

🎶 Colossal Loss

I hope that it was worth it
Do I think you deserve this?
My answer doesn't matter
'Cause you and I, we don't talk
To my benefit and your colossal loss

When I first heard this song, I knew NIKI could pull off a rock genre. I always have a soft spot for her R&B era but this one just hits differently. It has this edge that makes it unique from all of her songs. From the title itself, a 'colossal' loss, it's all about not just a minor regret, but a massive one. It's also about cutting ties with someone and realizing that losing someone is actually a win. She slayed this one when she performed in Manila.

🎶 Magnets

Like some kind of magnet
You're a mystic force
I try to explain away through planets, of course
But it's no use, there's no rhyme or reason
Each time I push the thoughts away, you're pulling me in
Again and again and again

The first time I heard this, it felt nostalgic, probably because it reminds me of NIKI's older songs. This song's about that irresistible attraction towards someone even if there were signs that tell you to stay away. If you loved her song Autumn, you're going to love this one too.

Have you listened to these songs before? Which one hits you the most?
