Celia Cruz, fue una cubana excepcional conocida como la "Reina de la Salsa", " la guarachera de cuba" es un ícono de la cultura cubana y un símbolo de la cubanía. Cantaba ya con la orquesta Sonora Matancera, cuando el naciente comunismo revolucionario le arrebató su querida isla. Celia se destacó por su potente voz y carisma en el escenario y un estilo único, en el que fusionaba elementos del son, mambo, guaguancó y guaracha. Esta mezcla salsera la llevó a convertirse en una de estrella de la música latina.
Su divorcio con el gobierno de Castro, la obligó a permanecer en los Estados Unidos, donde continuó su carrera con gran éxito. Su música llena de ritmo y una pasión desbordada, se convirtió en bandera para los exiliados cubanos y en un símbolo de resistencia y orgullo cultural. Su exitosa carrera incluye cerca de 100 álbumes y varios Grammy, consolidándose como una referencia en el género de la salsa.

A cuban selection and with a lot of "sugar".A musical greeting for all the lovers of this community of #music, as usual in our @threetunetuesday, I approach to you attracted by the @ablaze initiative, to show you my selection for today.
Celia Cruz, was an exceptional Cuban known as the "Queen of Salsa", "La Guarachera de Cuba" is an icon of Cuban culture and a symbol of that land. She already sang with the Sonora Matancera orchestra, when the nascent revolutionary communism snatched her beloved island. Celia stood out for her powerful voice and charisma on stage and a unique style, in which she fused elements of the son, Mambo, Guaguancó and Guaracha.This salsera mixture led her to become a Latin music star.
Her divorce with Castro's government forced her to remain in the United States, where she continued her career with great success. Her music full of rhythm and an overflowing passion became a flag for Cuban exiles and a symbol of resistance and cultural pride. Her successful work includes about 100 albums and several Grammy, consolidating her as a reference in the salsa genre.
