Hi guys!!! Youthanasia is the first album that I heard from the Megadeth, and I only remember that because I was too child.
I thought it came out on Halloween, but the release date was actually November 1
Addicted To Chaos is a good representation of the album and Megadeth's changing sound during that period. It's plodding and dark, and while the song's structure is very simple, they get a tone of good mileage out of it. The melodies are deceptively simple too, they use different permutations of just a couple notes to great effect. And the layering, goddamn it all sounds very thick and cohesive
Youthanasia is kind of the odd man out when people discuss Megadeth's discography because they never did anything else quite like it, especially something so dark. I think it's due a lot more respect than it get
