RE: Paula Temple - British Techno DJ and producer

in Music • 8 days ago

Honestly, I never took the time to listen 'carefully' to hear work and sets. Somehow I never heard her in the field. Then, to think of it, she lives in my city 😲 I guess I am getting a bit older, reducing the frequency of visiting clubs and festivals over time.

She lives in Amsterdam? I only saw her last live was there and she wanted to focus on producing.

In that case, grab her for a coffee session and make a streaming video please Sir @edje :-)

Well. She lives in the Netherlands according to RA (Resident Advisor), and I assume this is Amsterdam since most international artists living in the Netherlands, do live in Amsterdam.

Just finished listening to Paula's ADE 2024 set recording.

My conclusion: When I go for a coffee session with her, she must not be behind the decks. I can entertain her, though. Talk about any topics, except her music. Surely, I'll ask her what music she truly loves, but if this is what I heard, then we shall move to other topics. Now I also understand why you mentioned Amelie and Charlotte. Both I kinda liked many years ago, but by now, both ended up in this style Paula plays. Totally not my thing, to be honest.

I expected such a feedback by you hence I asked - you are true Techno - think more into minimal techno tunes :-)?

I guess so indeed.
But it is for sure not just minimal-ish and minimal techno (of which various variants exist throughout time).
