Hola amigos || Hello friends
Y acá estamos en un martes más de TTT donde hablaremos de música y de esas bandas que sin duda han dejado una gran huella en nuestros corazones. En este volumen II de ¨Bandas de mi ciudad¨ quiero hablarles de una banda que revolucionó un movimiento musical llevando sus conocimientos y arte a otro nivel. Esta banda venezolana fundada en Cumaná al principio del 2000 se caracterizó por su fusión de la música electrónica con el rock y agregándole los conocimientos de sus integrantes quienes ya contaban con una increíble trayectoria musical en la ciudad lograron consolidar un proyecto llamado OHMIO.
And here we are in another TTT Tuesday where we will talk about music and those bands that have undoubtedly left a great mark in our hearts. In this volume II of ¨Bandas de mi ciudad¨ I want to talk about a band that revolutionized a musical movement taking their knowledge and art to another level. This Venezuelan band founded in Cumana in early 2000 was characterized by its fusion of electronic music with rock and adding the knowledge of its members who already had an incredible musical career in the city managed to consolidate a project called OHMIO.
De hecho, su primer performance como banda es de integrantes de bandas que todavía hoy resuenan sus nombres en la ciudad. Dichas bandas las mencioné en mi TTT anterior. Como ya mencioné hace un momento, gracias a la trayectoria musical que tenían varios de los integrantes de OHMIO sus canciones crean un ambiente electrónico en donde viajaremos a un mundo surrealista de manera metafórica. Considero que, aunque puede que suenen a algo ya parecido, OHMIO buscaba en sí romper con los ya establecidos sonidos que originó esa era del rock y fue esa misma inquietante búsqueda quienes lo llevan hacer hoy otro icono del rock en mi ciudad.
In fact, their first performance as a band is by members of bands whose names still resonate today in the city. These bands I mentioned in my previous TTT. As I mentioned a moment ago, thanks to the musical background that several of the members of OHMIO had, their songs create an electronic atmosphere where we will travel to a surreal world in a metaphorical way. I consider that, although they may sound similar, OHMIO was looking to break with the already established sounds that originated that era of rock and it was that same disturbing search that made them another icon of rock in my city.
OHIMO fue otra de las bandas participe del reconocido festival Nuevas Bandas en la edición del 2003 representando el oriente del país y aunque no se consagró como la ganadora de esa edición estuvieron sonando mucho más que la banda ganadora quien fue Master Gurú. No era extraño dado que su genero estaba muy tendencia y además, era una excelente banda. Tuvieron algunos cambios de integrantes sobre todo en la parte de percusión y bajo pero siempre manteniendo en si su esencia.
OHIMO was another of the bands that participated in the renowned Nuevas Bandas festival in the 2003 edition representing the eastern part of the country and although they did not become the winner of that edition they were sounding much more than the winning band who was Master Guru. It was not strange since their genre was very trendy and besides, they were an excellent band. They had some changes of members especially in the percussion and bass part but always keeping their essence.
Recuerdo claramente que sus presentaciones eran muy potentes y así mismo, como fueron señaladas por más de un oyente. Como una de las más energéticas dentro de la movida rock del país. OHMIO participó en otro de los eventos más importante del rock en Venezuela y fue en aquel 4° Festival 100% Venezolano los mismos han podido compartir escenarios con bandas reconocidas como: Molotov, Juanes, Aterciopelados, Caramelos de Cianuro entre otros. Hoy son sus canciones lo que nos queda, su historia y aquellos conciertos en donde pude disfrutar de su buena energía y música.
I clearly remember that their presentations were very powerful and as well, as they were pointed out by more than one listener. As one of the most energetic in the rock scene of the country. OHMIO participated in another of the most important events of rock in Venezuela and it was in that 4th 100% Venezuelan Festival and they have been able to share stages with recognized bands such as: Molotov, Juanes, Aterciopelados, Caramelos de Cianuro among others. Today it is their songs that remain with us, their history and those concerts where I could enjoy their good energy and music.
Hoy cuentan con varios singles publicados, y si no me equivoco con tres producciones discográfica todas de manera independiente pero en donde trabajó grandes exponentes del rock venezolano como por ejemplo el gran Jean Carlo De Oliveira quien es el vocalista de Candy66 una de las bandas propulsoras de la nueva era del rock venezolano. Y para no seguir dándole larga al asunto porque sé que lo que quieren es música, empecemos con el primer single que dio a conocer OHMIO canción llamada ¨Plastico¨
Today they have several singles released, and if I am not mistaken with three record productions all independently but where worked great exponents of Venezuelan rock as for example the great Jean Carlo De Oliveira who is the vocalist of Candy66 one of the driving bands of the new era of Venezuelan rock. And not to continue giving long to the matter because I know that what you want is music, let's start with the first single that OHMIO released, a song called ¨Plastic¨.
Sus produciones visuales sin duda que fueron evolucionando en conjunto con la banda y no me creen vean la comparación unos años despues de haber grabado su single ¨Plastico¨ y nos presenta este siguiente llamado ¨Ambición¨
Their visual productions have undoubtedly evolved along with the band and if you don't believe me, look at the comparison a few years after recording their single ¨Plastico¨ and they present us with this next one called ¨Ambición¨.
Y cerremos este TTT con su ultimo single el cual sin duda dejó mucho de que hablar. Anque no recuerdo exactamtente si este fue el sinuiente single de la banda, el proceso de este video dio a mostrar que la banda seguia con la misma ambision de sus incios. Estoy orgulloso de formar parte de esta buena generación de una gran movida del rock en Venezuela y el mundo. Espero que haya sido de su agrado esta selleción de esta banda de mi ciudad llamada OHMIO.
And let's close this TTT with their latest single which undoubtedly left a lot to talk about. Although I don't remember exactly if this was the band's next single, the process of this video showed that the band still had the same ambition of their beginnings. I am proud to be part of this good generation of a great rock movement in Venezuela and the world. I hope you liked this selection of this band from my city called OH.

La verdad que ohmio plástico tiene gran energía, el nombre tiene que ver con la resistencia a la electricidad
Que bueno que le haya gustado maestro. La verdad es que sí tuvieron una gran oportunidad y la aprovecharon al máximo. Lástima que por la misma situación país cada uno de los integrantes tuvieron que emigrar para seguir avanzando en sus carreras profesionales.

Oh mio, realmente marcó un estilo en Cumaná, le dio ese profesionalismo y estética que requería la ciudad. Creo que ellos fueron una inspiración para muchos de nosotros, sus presentaciones en vivo eran geniales y realmente su sonido era único y demasiado bueno bro.
