La música se resume en alegría, en momentos divertidos, en recuerdos hermosos, así me gusta pensar en ella. Cuando un cover siempre algo divertido sucede, puedo inventar muchas cosas, ya sea darle un ritmo único a la canción o tocarla con el cuatro venezolano, así se trate de una canción en inglés. No es muy común ver a la gente tocando cuatro y cantando canciones en inglés, es un instrumento típico de Venezuela y fue creado para otros ritmos nacionales, sin embargo, cuando haces música y más aún estando en Hive se tiene mayor libertad creativa, es un espacio para probar al nuevo y ver la reacción de la gente.
Music is summed up in joy, in fun moments, in beautiful memories, that's how I like to think of it. When I cover a song, something fun always happens, I can invent many things, whether it's giving a unique rhythm to the song or playing it with the Venezuelan cuatro, even if it's an English song. It is not very common to see people playing cuatro and singing songs in English, it is a typical Venezuelan instrument and it was created for other national rhythms, however, when you make music and even more being in Hive you have more creative freedom, it is a space to try something new and see the reaction of the people.
¿Veamos y qué tal si en Venezuela nuestra lengua materna fuera el inglés y en ese caso nuestra música como Merengue Venezolano, Gaita, Joropo o Pasaje se cantara en inglés? ¿Qué tal un pasaje en inglés? Ya verás al final de este video de lo que te hablo. Me divertí mucho grabando estas canciones, en realidad tenía pautado cantar y tocar tres canciones, pero solo salieron dos, una de ellas se rebeló y no pude darle algún tipo de cierre para que quedara como una muestra musical.
Let's see and what if in Venezuela our mother tongue was English and in that case our music like Merengue Venezolano, Gaita, Joropo or Pasaje was sung in English? How about a pasaje in English? You'll see at the end of this video what I'm talking about. I had a lot of fun recording these songs, actually, I had planned to sing and play three songs, but only two of them came out, one of them rebelled and I couldn't give it some kind of closure so that it would remain as a musical sample.
Estas muestras que hoy les comparto son dos de mis canciones favoritas en inglés, de esas fáciles para tocar y con una letra bellísima. Stand By Me a mí siempre me suena a Dios, una súplica dónde se pide la protección y la permanencia de la divinidad en nuestro entorno, por parte Perfect habla del amor puro que no consigue defectos en el otro, ese amor que mira con ojos nuevos cada día.
These samples that I share with you today are two of my favorite songs in English, one of those easy to play and with beautiful lyrics. *Stand By Me" always sounds like God to me, a plea where we ask for protection and the permanence of the divinity in our environment, on the other hand "Perfect" speaks of pure love that does not get defects in the other, that love that looks with new eyes every day.

Esta canción es toda una cosa, no es porque solo me gusta, sino porque a mi hermana le encanta para ser exactos, es Perfect , pero ella no es para nada romántica. Es más directa en sus cosas, siempre es extraño cuando la escucha. 🤔 Yo soy un poco más romántico en ese aspecto, más como mi madre. Imagino el escenario en el que nos haya tocado el lenguaje inglés en vez del español, la música sería una mezcla hermosa, claro, en el aspecto tradicional como el cuatro, la conjugación de tonos sin duda alegraría corazones tal como lo has hecho con el mío. Perfect es una de mis canciones favoritas de Ed Sheeran, es tan hermosa ❤️ stand by me es otra de las que me gustan, la primera vez que conocí esta canción fue en la versión de Prince Royce, mucha bachata, pero acá el cuatro le da un toque de genialidad. Me encantó como suena con el ritmo del Cuatro, definitivamente un instrumento versatil que se expande en todas las fronteras. De Perfect me gustó que improvisastes algunas lineas melodicas y le pusistes tu sello personal, y de Stand By Me, la versión con frases español y ingles.
