Es así como hoy después de mucho tiempo vuelvo a publicar un video con un canto ecológico dirigido a niños basado en el género calipso,
titulado: “Caimán del Orinoco” con letra y música de la Profesora Flor Alayón trabajadora del ministerio del ambiente de Caracas – Venezuela, y de quien hable en mi último post. En este video canto y ejecuto con el cuatro un calipso venezolano aprovechando estas fechas carnestolendas que según el calendario festivo de tradiciones venezolanas, durante esta temporada es cuando más escuchamos y disfrutamos de este cadencioso y divertido género musical.
So today after a long time I am posting again a video with an ecological song aimed at children based on the calypso genre, entitled: "Caimán del Orinoco ” with lyrics and music by Professor Flor Alayón worker of the Ministry of Environment of Caracas - Venezuela, and of whom I spoke in my last post. In this video I sing and play with the cuatro a Venezuelan calypso taking advantage of these carnival dates that according to the festive calendar of Venezuelan traditions, during this season is when we most listen and enjoy this lilting and fun musical genre.
Entiendo que el calipso es un ritmo libre en su expresión, que puede servir para muchos motivo, cuyo origen es una mezcla entre la cultura Africana, Inglesa, Francesa y Española. Vale destacar que este género es acompañado tradicionalmente por otros instrumentos como: Bumbac (tambor grande), campana o cencerro, charrasca, cantantes, y el cuatro, en el cual no tengo mucha pericia en su ejecución, del que aún en proceso de aprendizaje, a pesar de esto me atreví a practicar uno de los ritmos básicas del calipso, que considero por tener un ciclo de acordes repetitivo, se me hizo un poco más fácil su ejecución y digitación, a parte del sentido ecológico que posee, que lo hace encantador tanto para niños como para adultos, he aquí la letra del tema CAIMAN DEL ORINOCO:

It is worth noting that this genre is traditionally accompanied by other instruments such as: Bumbac (big drum), bell or cowbell, charrasca, singers, and the cuatro, in which I do not have much expertise in its execution, of which I am still in the process of learning, despite this I dared to practice one of the basic rhythms of calypso, which I consider by having a repetitive chord cycle, it became a little easier its execution and fingering, apart from the ecological sense it possesses, which makes it charming for both children and adults, here are the lyrics of the theme CAIMAN DEL ORINOCO:

He de confesar que en lo personal me resulta titánico cantar y tocar a la vez, ha sido todo un proceso de educación auditiva. Durante mi historia de vida, para aprender a tocar este instrumento he tenido contratiempos que en su momento me llevo a desertar y a retomarlo solo cuando lo necesitaba, pero ahora siento que lo estoy asumiendo con más disciplina, y eso me tiene emocionada, situación que mi profesora ha venido observando y fue así como el año pasado me invito a participar en un festival con su grupo “La siembra del cuatro”.
I must confess that personally I find it titanic to sing and play at the same time, it has been a whole process of auditory education. During my life story, to learn to play this instrument I have had setbacks that at the time led me to drop out and take it up again only when I needed it, but now I feel that I am assuming it with more discipline, and that has me excited, a situation that my teacher has been observing and that was how last year invited me to participate in a festival with his group "The sowing of the four”.
