Today I want to talk a little about a great composer who today no longer accompanies us in life, but his songs have been immortalized with their amazing messages, yes, this cover that I have recorded today has been in honor of the great Bob Marley, who has really left a legacy and a great influence on the music of Jamaica, for me Marley not only left amazing compositions, for me Marley left his musical genius embodied in his children and descendants, I also believe that he planted a seed in the hearts of many Jamaicans and people around the world who today follow the Rastafarian movement and leave their essence in their modern compositions, as is the case of one of his sons who to tell the truth is my favorite singer and songwriter of Jamaica, the great "Damian Marley" his flow, his style, his voice and his fusions I really believe that they are not compared to anything, he is simply unique.

Back to the subject of Bob, he was not only a composer, he was also a guitarist and band leader, under his direction he had the band called "The Wailers" after that he also reinvented himself with the band a little bit modified and renamed it "Bob Marley and The Wailers, Bob Marley is known for writing in a unique and different way, an example of this is the song "I shot the sheriff" which was released as a single narrating the story of a man who accepts having shot the sheriff of the place but denies having murdered his companion.

Maybe you read this and you still don't know, but Jamaica was previously an English colony and also a British colony, to finally become independent as a crown colony, however for this very reason from my perspective I think that Marley's songs narrated many situations in which many people felt identified by the circumstances and the control out of their hands.

Before Marley died he composed "Redemption Song" by that time he was already suffering from his skin disease and was close to his death, in that composition there is something different and that is that he recorded it alone with an acoustic accompaniment on the guitar, sharing a little of the Rastafarian ideas, normally Bob's songs spoke of a liberation, perhaps although it referred to a mental and spiritual liberation, it could also be taken as a kind of protest against the governments and the high commands, it can be said that Bob had an ideal against the system and I say this based on the history and the stages that Jamaica has lived, he has many other famous songs such as "No Woman No Cry" and also the song that today I have decided to interpret for all of you, which is called "Is This Love" this song managed to enter the position number 9 of the top 10 of the lists belonging to the United Kingdom, a total success and in my opinion is loaded with a lot of feeling, right now I am listening to the studio version and I enjoy it like you have no idea, Bob marley is great I swear, he is a genius, sometimes I feel pain for all the people who were blessed artists and full of great talent, I can not lie, writing this post I feel a little sadness because I miss great artists that today are not present, but one thing I can say is that I feel an immense gratitude for having left those beautiful songs and I thank God for having allowed me to learn to sing and play, I never thought I would miss the presence of famous artists, but yes, that is the case right now, artists like Bob, like Michael Jackson, Chester Bennington, Mac Miller, among others. .. But today I just want to see the positive side and thank the universe, the whole, our God, for leaving artists guided by the example of past generations, as is the case of Damian Marley, Stephen Marley, among others, I do not know how to explain what I feel in my heart right now, but what I can tell you is that I really love music, sometimes I may get a little nostalgic, because I have so many songs that I have written inspired by the influences of artists of the 80's and 90's that it hurts me the current situation that I have, I know I have a lot of health, comfort, youth and life, but I wish the situation could be a little more in my favor to be able to show my talent to more people and not only in hive, in short my friends, I hope you can appreciate this cover in honor of the great Bob and in honor of the good music that today is a little forgotten by the current generation, I miss the creation and recording with strings, brass and real instruments, I love music production but I love and prefer more organic productions, that is to say with real instruments and not only with digitalization, that's all for today, thanks for reading, watching and listening to me, greetings friends until a next post!

Lyrics

Wanna love you and treat you right
I wanna love you
Every day and every night
We'll be together
With a roof right over our heads
We'll share the shelter
Of my single bed
We'll share the same room, yeah
For Jah provide the bread
Is this love, is this love, is this love, is this love that I'm feelin'?
Is this love, is this love, is this love, is this love that I'm feelin'?
Ooh
Oh I, I'm willing and able
So I throw my cards on your table.

Wanna love you and treat you right
I wanna love you
Every day and every night
We'll be together
With a roof right over our heads
We'll share the shelter
Of my single bed
We'll share the same room, yeah
For Jah provide the bread
Is this love, is this love, is this love, is this love that I'm feelin'?
Is this love, is this love, is this love, is this love that I'm feelin'?
Ooh
Oh I, I'm willing and able
So I throw my cards on your table.

Letra

Quiero amarte y tratarte bien
Quiero amarte
Cada día y cada noche
Estaremos juntos
Ooh
Oh yo, estoy dispuesto y soy capaz

Quiero amarte y tratarte bien
Quiero amarte
Cada día y cada noche
Estaremos juntos
Ooh
Oh yo, estoy dispuesto y soy capaz
