Para muchos de los nostálgicos y fanáticos de Linkin Park este es un momento, no difícil porque en la vida hay que avanzar, pero si extraño. Desde la partida de Chester Bennington por allá en el 2017 este grupo decidió alejarse de la música, y con razón, supongo yo que para pensar y reordenar ideas de lo que sería de ellos a partir de ese momento. Desde hace un tiempo paulatinamente ellos han estado soldando cosas, temas inéditos que nunca salieron a la luz como dando a entender que poco a poco los volveríamos a ver de lleno. Pues después de 7 años finalmente la espera ha llegado a su final y es que no solo anunciaron su regreso, sino que también habrá una gira mundial, un nuevo disco y si, una nueva vocalista.
For many of the nostalgic and Linkin Park fans this is a moment, not difficult because in life you have to move forward, but strange. Since the departure of Chester Bennington back in 2017 this group decided to step away from music, and rightly so, I guess to think and rearrange ideas of what would become of them from that moment. For some time now they have been gradually welding things, unreleased songs that never came to light as if giving to understand that little by little we would see them again in full. Well, after 7 years the wait has finally come to an end and they not only announced their return, but also a world tour, a new album and yes, a new vocalist.
En las pocas horas que Emily lleva en el grupo han sido más los mensajes de cariño y apoyo que los de aquellos que, creo yo, no superan aún a Chester. Hay que decir que él es irremplazable, la huella que dejó es muy grande para siquiera compararlo con alguien; y que además siento que ese ejercicio sería muy egoísta hacia una cantante que lo que quiere, más allá de reemplazar a alguien, es rendir tributo desde el respeto y el amor hacia una figura como lo fue Chester Bennington. Basicamente esto no es más que un nuevo Linkin Park.

Esta es la nueva canción de esta nueva etapa. El primer sencillo del álbum que saldrá en Noviembre (From Zero). Emily Armstrong es la típica persona que desde niña ha estado involucrada con la música, poco se sabe de ella más allá que lo de estar sobre un escenario no es nuevo para ella porque es lo que ha hecho toda su vida. Tiene 38 años, que no aparenta, y una voz única. Me gusta porque de buenas a primeras parece que es una voz tranquila pero de repente sale el rock que lleva dentro y la verdad es que llena mucho. ella ha estado influenciada en el folk rock. Creo que el color de su voz y la forma en como se mueve en un escenario va muy de la mano con lo que es Linkin Park, Shinoda acertó con esta incorporación. Pero no solo llegó ella sino que el baterista también es nuevo, Colin Brittain llega por Rob Bourdon. Un tipo que ha trabajado con Papa Rouch por ejemplo.
This is the new song of this new stage. The first single from the album to be released in November (From Zero). Emily Armstrong is the typical person who has been involved with music since she was a child, little is known about her other than that being on stage is not new to her because it's what she has done all her life. La canción me gusta mucho, habla de los amores no correspondidos que terminan haciendo más daño que otra cosa, aquellos que se basan en la confianza y al final nada queda de eso. Es un tema muy al estilo de la banda, es verdad que estamos diciendo que esto es un nuevo Linkin Park pero la esencia tiene que seguir por ahí. Por los momentos lo único que sabemos es el evento en vivo que ellos dieron ayer en sus redes donde anunciaron todo esto y además ofrecieron un concierto con algunas de sus canciones más icónicas.
I like the song a lot, it talks about unrequited love that end up doing more damage than anything else, those that are based on trust and in the end nothing is left of that. It is a theme very much in the style of the band, it is true that we are saying that this is a new Linkin Park but the essence has to follow that way. At the moment the only thing we know is the live event that they gave yesterday in their networks where they announced all this and also offered a concert with some of their most iconic songs.

Acá pueden ver el evento. In The End, Faint, One Step Closer, Crawling, Numb, Papercut, Lost, etc son algunas de las canciones que se disfrutaron, todas bajo el sello de Emily y Shinoda, quien ahora es el líder del grupo. Si son seguidores de Linkin Park tienen que estar felices de que esta gente finalmente va a hacer nueva música y sobre todo montarse de nuevo en los escenarios alrededor del mundo. Esta banda para mi significa mucho porque, como ya lo he dicho por acá antes, crecí con ellos y con el Hybrid Theory del 2000, para mi el mejor disco de ellos. Espero que From Zero nos traiga buenos temas, como lo es The Emptiness Machine.

no me esperaba el retorno de esta banda, y menos con una vocalista, solo queda ver como será la evolución musical, el estilo se mantiene. Estamos muy acostumbrado a la voz de Chester, sus melodías, y screams.
Hay que esperar mas material, e interpretaciones con canciones viejas, Se me hace extraño con esta voz.
A todos pero creo que la idea es avanzar y crear un nuevo Linkin Park. Shinoda lo dijo, está es una nueva etapa. Chester siempre tendrá su lugar pero es hora de avanzar, además de que Emily canta muy top. Hay que darle la oportunidad.
si, tiene muy buena voz, es muy limpia. Pero si tiene que mejorar los screams, usa una voz raspada, y la forma en la que lo usa, no me parece apropiada, tiene que cuidarse mucho de eso para no afectarse las cuerdas vocales, seguiremos escuchando más seguramente van a mejorar
Chester es irremplazable pero tal como dices, Emily llega para comenzar una etapa completamente nueva rindiéndole respeto a él pero construyendo algo distinto a la vez.
El regreso de Linkin Park es nostálgico y claro que es raro ver a personas nuevas, pero es un nuevo proyecto casi desde cero que se ve muy prometedor. Habrá que esperar el álbum pero hasta ahora, creo que Emily es una excelente cantante perfecta para la banda.
Confío en ella, si ves el show que hicieron la verdad canta muy bien y el estilo y la forma en como se mueve en el escenario es el ideal para la banda. Si caemos en comparaciones perdemos, hay que entender que esto es nuevo y necesario.
