Triple T; My favourites.

in Musiclast month

Another week and I’m here and excited to share three (3) of my favourite songs for the week.

  1. Locked Away by R City featuring Adam Levine. This song was released in 2015 and became a huge hit, owing to its captivating melody and vocal execution. The song is all about loving unconditionally, regardless of the challenges that comes with it. In lots of relationships now, love is conditional on things like money, success, which causes an underlying fear. Love should be unwavering and supportive, even in the face of challenges. This song is a reminder to find relationships that accept you for who you truly are, rather than what you have. I can relate to this song as it highlights the importance of loyalty and self-acceptance.

  1. Forever Young by Alphaville— This use to be my top favourite back in the days and still is. Forever Young brings back a lot of memories for me while growing up. The lyrics openly talk about the wish to remain forever young (not an explicit meaning), to be able to hold on to the freedom and optimism like a youth.
I was a child just years back and then I wished I'd grow up faster, LOL. If it was possible, I would turn back the hands of the clock so I can remain forever young. This song has made me realize the importance of making the most of my time, to embrace each stage of my life, despite challenges that may come.

  1. Just the Two of Us by Lucy Ellis—A romantic song talking about the strength between two people in a relationship and their belief that they can overcome any difficulty as long as they have one another. It explores themes of intimate connection, unconditional love, teamwork, and the beauty of love's simplicity. This is one of the favourite songs of my partner and I....lols.

I hope you find them as captivating as well!
