Recuerdo que ha finales de Enero nos enteramos de este evento por una publicidad en instagram de Invershow donde además de anunciar el concierto de Andrea Bocelli en Caracas también mencionaban a nuestra orquesta sinfónica y nuestra agrupación coral. Fue muy emocionante, y particularmente más aún para mí cuando descubrí que sería de los pocos tenores elegidos, ya que por cuestiones de espacio no podemos ser todos. En mis primeros recuerdos musicales, por allá en 1995, las primeras canciones que me aprendí eran de Bocelli.
I remember that at the end of January we found out about this event through an advertisement on instagram of Invershow where besides announcing the concert of Andrea Bocelli in Caracas they also mentioned our symphony orchestra and our choral group. It was very exciting, and particularly even more so for me when I found out that I would be one of the few tenors chosen, since due to space issues we can't be all of them. In my first musical memories, back in 1995, the first songs I learned were by Bocelli.
Ayer fue un día de primeras veces para mí, y es que cuando se inauguró este estadio y en un par de ocasiones más que mi agrupación ha cantado allá no pude asistir, ya que estábamos pasando por el reciente fallecimiento de mi papá, pero anhelaba conocer el Estadio Monumental Simón Bolívar, justo al lado del Poliedro de Caracas. Vaya que me quedé corto con las expectativas el lugar es hermoso y un sitio ideal para hacer conciertos masivos, además de los juegos de beisbol. Creo que caminé por todos los rincones posibles en mi tiempo libre en este día de ensayo general.
Yesterday was a day of firsts for me, and when this stadium was inaugurated and on a couple of other occasions that my group has sung there I could not attend, as we were going through the recent death of my father, but I longed to know the Monumental Simon Bolivar Stadium, right next to the Polyhedron of Caracas. Boy did I fall short of expectations, the place is beautiful and an ideal place for massive concerts, besides baseball games. I think I walked around every possible corner in my free time on this dress rehearsal day.
Todavía no hemos conocido al Maestro Bocelli, el Viernes 21 tenía un concierto en Colombia y hoy será aquí en Venezuela, así que el ensayo general fue sin él y vamos directo con el público hoy, ¡Que Dios nos agarre confesados! 😅 El repertorio es de altura y lo conozco desde que era niño, así que ha sido muy fácil estar preparados para este evento. Esta noche sonarán clásicos de la Opera como el brindis de La Traviata, La Donna e Mobile, Nessum Dorma y O Sole Mio, mientras que en la parte popular se interpretarán piezas como Por Ti Volaré, Vivo Por Ella y mi favorita, Canto Della Terra.
We haven't met Maestro Bocelli yet, on Friday the 21st he had a concert in Colombia and today it will be here in Venezuela, so the dress rehearsal was without him and we are going straight to the audience today, may God take us by surprise! 😅 The repertoire is high and I have known it since I was a child, so it has been very easy to be prepared for this event. Tonight will sound Opera classics such as the toast of La Traviata, La Donna e Mobile, Nessum Dorma and O Sole Mio, while in the popular part pieces such as Por Ti Volaré, Vivo Por Ella and my favorite, Canto Della Terra will be performed.
Generalmente interpretamos esta música, y me llena de mucho placer, pero hacerlo en este tipo de eventos es una experiencia distinta. Es un público más animado y hay una escenografía de altura por ser una estrella internacional, de hecho ya cantar en un estadio deportivo dice mucho. Es una gran felicidad que entre tantos músicos talentosos de mi país casualmente seamos nosotros los elegidos por el equipo de trabajo del italiano. Para mí es otro sueño que se hace realidad, ese tipo de eventos para lo que te has preparado toda la vida, pero no sabes cuando llegará, y a veces ni siquiera sabemos si lo necesitamos.
We usually perform this music, and it fills me with great pleasure, but to do it in this type of event is a different experience. It is a livelier audience and there is a high level of scenery for being an international star, in fact already singing in a sports stadium says a lot. It is a great happiness that among so many talented musicians from my country we happen to be the ones chosen by the Italian's work team. For me it is another dream come true, that kind of event for which you have been preparing all your life, but you don't know when it will come, and sometimes we don't even know if we need it.
Ya solo me queda ir a arreglarme y contar las horas para esta tarde de Sábado, estoy seguro que todo será genial. Mi mamá y mi suegra ya están camino a Caracas, son nuestras invitadas especiales. Hoy es uno de esos días en que la música me hace sentir especial a través de las vivencias y oportunidades que me regala, siempre significa belleza y unión para mí, por eso Vivo Por Ella 🙏
I just have to get ready and count the hours for this Saturday afternoon, I'm sure everything will be great. My mom and my mother-in-law are already on their way to Caracas, they are our special guests. Today is one of those days when music makes me feel special through the experiences and opportunities it gives me, it always means beauty and union for me, that's why I Live For Her 🙏

No puedo creerlo, me encanta Bocelli 😍 sus canciones son tan hermosas, de los pocos tenores que he escuchado en mi adolescencia ya que en ese tiempo no era muy amena a ese estilo musical, si llegas a verlo cara a cara dile que hay un pequeño buho endemoniado que lo admira y le envia muchas plumitas 😂🦉❤️ (lo digo en serio jajaja)
Que genialidad que tengan a un artista de renombre presentandose alli y que genial que la Orquesta de ustedes haya sido seleccionada, la vida y el sfuerzo de todos ustedes esta dando sus buenos frutos y cumpliendo sueños, ¡Vamos por todo! 😍
