But today I write again about this artist, because I told you yesterday in this same community, this Saturday my choral group will be in charge of accompanying him in the chorus of his music in the concert he will give at the Monumental Stadium “Simon Bolivar” in Caracas. The emotion does not fit in my chest, especially because not all the singers were selected for this event, but I will be there, and although we have not yet met Bocelli in person we have had a lot of rehearsal, although my voice has not recovered from this weekend's anniversary concert. Not all the songs are Bocelli originals, he will be doing a lot of Italian opera, but for lovers of this genre and for the curious, these are my recommendations today.
Pero hoy vuelvo a escribir sobre este artista, porque les conté ayer en esta misma comunidad, este Sábado mi agrupación coral será la encargada de acompañarle en los coros de su música en el concierto que dará en el Estadio Monumental "Simón Bolívar" de Caracas. La emoción no me cabe en el pecho, especialmente porque no todos los cantantes fueron seleccionados para este evento, pero estaré ahí, y aunque aún no conocemos a Bocelli en persona hemos tenido mucho ensayo, aunque mi voz no se recupera del concierto aniversario de este fin de semana. No todas las canciones son originales de Bocelli, hará mucha ópera italiana, pero para los amantes de este género y para los curiosos, estas son mis recomendaciones de hoy.
1. Funiculì Funiculà
This has never been one of my favorite songs, but I find it to be the most fun of the whole repertoire for this weekend. It sounds Italian and has a very catchy beat. It has always been one of my mom's favorites, and now that this concert coincides with her birthday, I will make every effort to bring it to Caracas that day, I hope we get lucky, since she doesn't know the city and obviously I will be very busy. I'm obsessed with this song because now I really like it and it's like I've just really met it.
Esta nunca había sido de mis canciones preferidas, pero la encuentro como la más divertida de todo el repertorio para este fin de semana. Suena a Italia y tiene un ritmo muy pegajoso. Siempre ha sido una de las favoritas de mi mamá, y ahora que este concierto coincide con el cumpleaños de ella, haré todo el esfuerzo para traerla hasta Caracas ese día, espero tengamos suerte, ya que ella no conoce la ciudad y evidentemente yo estaré muy ocupado. Estoy obsesionado con esta canción porque ahora me gusta mucho y es como si la acabara de conocer realmente.
2. O Sole Mio
This is one of the most popular songs in my personal world, one of the favorites of us tenors of lyrical singing, in fact I listen to it very little for that very reason, but this is a special occasion, plus it is still beautiful and perfect. I have always had Pavarotti's version in my playlist, but this time I give Bocelli a chance, besides it is a very beautiful musical arrangement to accompany the chorus. A must for lovers of the classical genre.
Esta es una de las canciones más populares en mi mundo personal, una de las favoritas de nosotros los tenores del canto lírico, de hecho la escucho muy poco por esa misma razón, pero esta es una ocasión especial, además de que no deja de ser hermosa y perfecta. Siempre he tenido la versión de Pavarotti en mis playlist, pero en esta ocasión le soy una oportunidad a Bocelli, además de que es un arreglo musical muy hermoso para acompañar en el coro. Una canción infaltable para los amantes del género clásico.
3. Nessum Dorma
My choral group sang the opera Turandot, conducted by Maestro Gustavo Dudamel, but I was not yet in the chorale 😭 so it is very gratifying for me to know that this aria, one of the best ever written for tenors will be played in this concert, and even more, to know that I will be part of it, I think for the first time in a concert. Bocelli's version is just as beautiful and heartfelt as that of almost all the famous tenors, and there is no way this music can fail to please and touch the soul, especially with its breathtaking finale.
Mi agrupación coral cantó la ópera Turandot, dirigida por el Maestro Gustavo Dudamel, pero yo aún no estaba en la coral 😭 así que es muy grato para mí saber que esta aria, una de las mejores que se haya escrito para los tenores vaya a sonar en este concierto, y más aún, saber que seré parte de ello, creo que por primera vez en un concierto. La versión de Bocelli es igual de bella y sentida como la de casi todos los tenores famosos, y es que no hay manera de que esta música no guste y llegue al alma, especialmente por su imponente final.
La Ñapa
I will share once again Canto Della Terra, the version with Sarah Brightman, and it is a song that I swear I listen to at least once a month since I met her in 2007 (approximately). I find it very powerful and I remember the first time I heard it, tears came to my eyes just when the choir started singing, it was so beautiful. Since then when I listen to it I imagined being part of that choir someday, and now it will become a reality, and with the same artist, it is something that causes me a lot of impression, but God has shown me that I have many reasons to be happy and to live grateful 🙏
Compartiré una vez más Canto Della Terra, la versión junto a Sarah Brightman, y es que es una canción que les juro que escucho al menos una vez al mes desde que la conocí en 2007 (aproximadamente). Me parece muy poderosa y recuerdo que la primera vez que la oí, se me salieron las lágrimas justo en el momento que el coro comenzaba a cantar, era muy hermoso. Desde entonces cuando la escucho me imaginaba siendo parte de ese coro algún día, y ahora se volverá una realidad, y con el mismo artista, es algo que me causa mucha impresión, pero Dios me ha demostrado que tengo muchos motivos para ser feliz y vivir agradecido 🙏

Muy buena elección del repertorio de este gran artista de la ópera y fíjate que no sabía que también canta Turandot, me animaré a ver el video. Felicidades por tu participación en el concierto de los 50 años del Sistema, asistí por el estado Aragua pues estoy en el "Coro de adultos de Villa de Cura" y fue una experiencia única.
