Loreena McKennit, la cantante y compositora de origen canadiense, con ascendencia escocesa e irlandesa, ha sido, desde el momento en que la “descubrí” a principios de la década del 90, una de mis favoritas. Su música, entre la tradicional música celta, con incursiones en otros géneros étnicos e incorporación de lo experimental, es verdaderamente cautivadora. Su interpretación del piano, el arpa y otros instrumentos la convierten en una virtuosa y creativa ejecutante. Un aire entre lo étnico o antropológico, lo místico y algo de “new age” nos entusiasma.

A winter garden, made in 1995, composed of five songs in which she reinterprets, with her own adaptations or those of her collaborators, traditional pieces of ancient British origin.I bring it to this community in the #TTT version as a way of re-spreading it, apart from sharing the love for her music. I got to see Loreena McKennit live once. The band was just her and two others, and it was fantastic. She's definitely one of my favourite musicians.
