And with no prediction for it at all, all of a sudden it was there. The white gold was falling out of the sky and not a single soul was prepared for it here in the Netherlands.
Sure it was said that it would get a lot colder this week after all of the rain from the previous weeks (months even?), but that was just meaning ice skating. But it was drizzling down this morning, white gold and I was happy with it!

But what kind of music fits those kinds of days? Random stuff that actually has something to do with snow, or just music that enhances the vibe.
I am just really happy that the weather has turned from endless grey and endless water falling out of the sky into something different!
Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice baby
There were a couple of years were this song only would pass by in bars after 2 am when people would be drunk enough already to air-rap with the song (admittingly, I might be capable of doing that as well knowing every word), and after that it would only pass by on the radio stations because this was like a guilty pleasure kind of song.
But hey...the song grooves man, good vibes in there! What this guy is doing now? After his hit he had a couple of rough years with drugs and sobered out after that. Snow - Informer
Continuing in the same collection as the song above here of lip singing and having no idea of what you are singing is the song by Snow. The lyrics? No one has an idea, but it was a big hit in the beginning in the 90s. Coming from that this dude was in jail for a year this is where the song came from.
But whatever happened to him then? Well he started going back into music again. I was aware of this song, but I had no idea that he was also involved in this song himself. I thought that it was just 'ripped'
Kind of sad that the only thing that ever came out from him is the remake of his own song? Or is that just me?
Snow Patrol - Set the fire to the third bar
I always had the idea that this song was from a soundtrack from a movie of some kind, because it had so much drama in there. I really liked the first album on Snow Patrol for a bit back then, but it was so overplayed, so overhyped, and so overused in everything.
Another one for the radio to slowly kill. This song is a nice one for playing at the fireplace though, curling up to a warm person next to you. But it is so sad.
And actually this snowfall is giving me energy! Time to hit the outside world and see how much of the white gold is left behind for us all to walk and fool around in.
