Mad Over You

in Music4 months ago

Greetings!

Last week, Saturday, I was awake around 11 PM because there was electricity, and I was ironing clothes while I had my radio plugged in. Yeah, that's what I do most times when I'm tired of listening to the songs on my phone. You know, there's a special feeling in listening to random music. That night, they were doing a program where a caller needed to call in and request a song to be played, but the caller had to sing some lines of the song first to warrant the request being played. That night, I had loads of fun listening to everything because most of the songs were throwbacks, which were ones I'm very fond of, and I can sing along to some extent.

Mad Over You by Runtown:

One thing I know is that this song is evergreen. For those who knew the song when it was released in 2016, anytime it plays, there's a special feeling and vibe it brings. The chorus is so relatable and can be sung by everyone who knew the song back then. The song is a love song, expressing how a guy is consumed by a lady's love, hence the "mad over you." It's a party song, even though the beat is somewhat slow; it's still danceable.

Beamer by Rema:

Oh, this song took me back when I heard it, to the extent that after that night, I went to search for it and added it to my playlist. It wasn't so popular when it was released, but those of us who know good music knew it. It's one of Rema's singles, and in this song, he features Rvssian, a lady, though the lady only has a voice on the chorus and no verse.

Funny enough, when I got to know the song back then, I was totally 'soaked' in church and had a lot of church friends around, and they would give me that weird look whenever I started jamming to this song at a loud volume on my sound system.

It's a typical party song with a good beat that can pull off the roof of a building when played at high volume. Well, the lyrics are more like a rant because it's just spilling, but I love the rhythm.

Hehehe by Rema:

Yeah, that night was Rema's night, and for the first time, they made me fall in love with the 'Hehehe' track by Rema. It's a new song (with an album), and the lyrics are so entertaining. How funny that a song is titled with a laugh, and that part of 'hehehehe' in the song is so entertaining to vibe with.

It's a party song as well. In fact, the main reason for the song is just partying, and it defines very well what Afrobeats is because it can be very rough when the artist wants to do it excessively. We're waiting for the video for this song because it's going to be a dramatic one. Lol 😂

So that's it, and it's my entry to #ThreeTuneTuesday for this week, organized by @ablaze.

Thank you for reading.
