Just another Sunday...hummm...Tuesday

in Music2 days ago

Well, I might as well have another sunday/ lets pretend it's Three Tunes Tuesday and there is only 3 songs. This one could degenerate. I'm not sure I even shared any of my actual favorite sleeping tunes. well of course all day long. Somehow it sooths me when I'm ready to deploy like Vlad the Impaler. Don't ask why it cools my engine, it just does.

Too bad they didn't have this sort of Inspirational music in the Viking era. I bet Rollo would have been charmed by these little lullabies. They have come around Edmonton a few times but I always miss it somehow. Maybe someday.

That's a another goody I didn't learn until later in life after I moved where it was more mainstream and where musical taste exist. Amon Amarth seems to be too much for some people. The reactions I get is even funnier. When I worked in powerhouses, we got a bit of a variance to bring a stereo that could connect to an ipod. as long as it wasn't in our pocket as a fall hazard or earphones as a distraction, we welded twice as fast with the audio encouragement. Each day we took turns so it stayed diverse, everyone was excited to show of their playlist, one at a time we got all ranges...Rock, what some consider metal but really isn't but I don't argue labels.

The funnier part, I was an apprentice with my journeyman and playing mock drums with welding rods on the plywood keeping up with the drum beat. Didn't know there was a drummer in our ranks that had been watching me for a few days like WTF girl. LOL No I don't play but when you are fidgety it helps pass the time when the welder is busy and requires no assistance. Also, don't give the banged up rods to the welder unless you hate them.

Fuck look at those hair spins, making me wish I had long hair again. Nah whiplash jeepers. Too old for this stuff now

Some even thought they were heavy as fuck trying to impress their heaviness with, well hard rock at best to my standards. Then came my turn, of course everyone wanted to know because I normally walked around with my earphones at lunch like none of them even existed, they were eager to find out why. They always teased me, someone so chill, you must listen to country music and pop. Well yes I do, not quite a wrong interpretation either since I have a wide taste. The look of shock when this is what came out. I had to shut it down, it was too heavy for some, now the other dude understood why their beats were so easy to follow...haha. So much for heavy AF bro. Do I really sleep to this? So ever peacefully.

Here is one with a whole album, make it last eh! I bet that would have primed them up real nice for battle back then. Speaking of Viking things. The show is nice and all, I try to keep it to myself because they say it's not based on accuracy just a show but somehow they gave many of Rollo's achievements to Ragnar especially when it comes to the stuff in France with Charles the Simple. Those types of little things irk me a little since they took the time to put him in the show. apparently in real life, his nickname was Rollo the walker, he was too giant for any horse. Poor guy...just imagine. Well poor horse too. He knew that tho.

I don't know why people don't expect women to be metal AF stereotyping I guess. This next series below, she always trips up a few. I like to just make people listen to the songs and then tell them it's a girl signing. NAHH...There is no freaking way. Yeah Yeah, tiny as can be with the a big demon voice. I love it, the first girl metal band I liked and for a long time, at least a decade. We had a few growing up but they were pretty generic. Today there is many more on the scene thankfully. HOT DAMN the QUEEN of METAL AF right there. I don't think anyone can steel that from her. But his guitar solos tho...

For those of you who don't go to those big stadium metal shows, the pyros are hot! You can feel the heat from far away even in the stands. In arenas, well it just gets warm because the heat doesn't have anywhere to escape besides the normal building ventilation. Makes for some badass photography too over the years. Some reason I have yet to go to one of their concerts. On the to do list for someday, never too old for good tunes. Sometimes you just miss out. The last Foo Fighter concert ended up being the last one in my city before they lost their drummer. I probably took one of the coolest photos of the crowd ever.

I swear this isn't a filter, just the concert light effects.

Iron Maiden, probably seen them at least 3 or 4 times by now, they are regulars here. Apparently I might be a groupie by now. The first major concert I went to when I first moved to Edmonton was Iron Maiden.
