Ash is a song by the Venezuelan rock band Candy 66 from their album A+ in 2003.
One of my favorite Venezuelan bands, because of the affinity we have with alternative metal, as well as the influences of national rock that create an atmosphere in each of the compositions.
I had the opportunity to share the stage with them a few years ago and it was one of the most motivating experiences I had as a musician.
The most impressive thing about this group is the intention they have with the execution of the instruments, always calling for the strength of the Metal style, the stridency of the string equalizations, with well-defined overdrive distortions and at the same time with good gain, enough to achieve a powerful staging Candy 66 rose to fame in 2000, when he won the VENEZUELAN NEW BANDS FESTIVAL, a selection of the best musical groups in the country, in this case he won first place in this edition together with the band **Submarino **. In this case they were the best proposals for this year, and the beginning of a glorious career for both.
Ash is one of those soft songs by this group, surprising listeners in those years, who expected a very extreme and strident album, and with this song they made the contrast betting on a well-crafted acoustic sound.

I, who personally followed Candy 66 for many years, rarely heard this song live, I suppose that just because you have to change the equipment and equalization just to play a song it is not so feasible, for therefore I can tell you that I heard it in a totally acoustic concert that they performed in the city of Puerto la Cruz, Venezuela.

Ceniza es una canción de la banda de rock venezolana Candy 66 de su álbum A+ del año 2003.
Una de mis bandas venezolanas favoritas, por la afinidad que tenemos con el metal alternativo, así como por las influencias propias del rock nacional que hacen atmósfera en cada una de las composiciones. Tuve la oportunidad de compartir tarima con ellos hace algunos años y fue una de las experiencias más motivadoras que tuve como músico.
Lo más impresionante de esta agrupación es la intención que tienen con la ejecución de los instrumentos, siempre llamando a la fuerza del estilo Metal, a la estridencia de las ecualizaciones de las cuerdas, con distorsiones overdrive bien definidas y a la vez con buena ganancia, suficiente para lograr una puesta en escena contundente.
Candy 66 saltó a la fama en el año 2000, cuando ganaron el FESTIVAL NUEVAS BANDAS VENEZOLANO, una selección de las mejores agrupaciones musicales del país, en este caso obtuvieron el primer lugar en esta edición junto a la banda Submarino. En este caso fueron las mejores propuestas para este año, y el inicio de una trayectoria gloriosa para ambos.
Ceniza es uno de esos temas suaves de esta agrupación, sorprendiendo a los oyentes en aquellos años, quienes esperábamos un álbum muy extremo y estridente, y con esta canción hicieron el contraste apostando a un sonido acústico y bien elaborado. Una de las canciones más estilizadas de la banda.
Yo, que personalmente seguí a Candy 66 durante muchos años, pocas veces escuché esta canción en vivo, supongo que por el solo hecho de que hay que cambiar el aparataje y ecualizaciones solo para tocar una canción no es tan factible, por lo tanto puedo decirles que la escuché en un concierto totalmente acustico que realizaron en la ciudad de Puerto la Cruz, Venezuela.
