The Live Show - Linkin Park: FROM ZERO (Livestream)

Wow, what an incredibly amazing performance last night! Linkin Park gave a concert where they introduced their new lead singer, Emily Armstrong. After such a long time, Linkin Park is finally back to rocking out hard! Before the event, they posted a countdown on various social media platforms, which left the entire rock and nu-metal world wondering what would happen when the countdown hit zero. And the result? A massive live show featuring a completely new stage design, stunning laser shows, a new lineup, and new songs that were released. The new album is called "From Zero," signifying a fresh start from scratch. Emily isn’t there to replace Chester Bennington but to take the band in a new direction while also paying a wonderful tribute to Chester.

Linkin Park kicked off the concert with a song called "The Emptiness Machine" which is already available on Spotify, YouTube, and everywhere else. This is the first official song with Emily Armstrong, and it’s an absolute banger.

The Emptiness Machine (Official Music Video) - Linkin Park

I'm really excited about what's to come—the live shows, the new songs. For me, this truly feels like a new beginning. As someone who grew up with Linkin Park, who has been accompanied by their music through both the tough times and the good, this band has given me so much strength throughout my life.

Can you believe it has been 7 years since? It feels like yesterday. I am happy they have found the way forward and I accept the new members full heartedly. I 100% understand what Mike said about it sounding right in his head about Emily's voice. It is not Chester, but it is Linkin Park, and I think he would support their decision to go along with her. I could not stop the tears rolling down my cheeks listening to the emptiness machine for the first time. I think those were good tears. Catharsis. So many amazing things from the band awaits us in future! And I know, Chester will be with them on this new journey.

I saw the concert and I'm excited because that girl is really incredible, I'm really excited about this epic return of LP, greetings

I really think it's great the restart with a female front and don't try to be the same band or try to copy who they were. They will be different without Chester and they seem to know that.

I really liked it.

I don't know...I covered one of the Linkin Park songs yesterday in my 3 Tune Tuesday (Crawling, my favorite) and all three songs in it are songs where lead singers have been replaced but can't really be. I like Emily's voice, but she's not Chester. I think it's a mistake to keep going as Linkin Park. Especially since the only one of the original band members still in the band is Mike Shinoda. The weird thing is that he was doing other projects. So why he's trying to hold on to the Linkin Park thing, while it will just never be the same, I really don't know. Starting a different band with a different route (and not trying to copy what they once had) would have been much, much better. Chester can never be replaced, and I think they should have been smarter with this. Just my two cents haha.
