Happy Tuesday.

and I warmly welcome you to my blog. Hope you had an amazing day. It's another #ThreeTuneTuesday.

For the #ttt today, I'll be showcasing the three (3) timeless tracks of the renowned Greek composer, keyboardist and pianist, Yannis Chryssomallis, popularity known as Yanni.

As a music icon, Yanni is known for his instrumental music, which often blends elements of jazz, classical and world music. Yanni's music has gotten global recognition for its beauty, complexity and emotional resonance.

I love Yanni's unique style of music and I've had the pleasure of listening to some of his compositions. Some years ago, I owned a few VCD collections of his songs. Whenever I needed to unwind, seek inspiration, or simply find a moment of calm, his music was always the perfect companion.

Without much ado, let's journey into the tranquil world of Yanni. Get ready to unwind and let the stress of today melt away.

  • Tune 1 - "Santorini"

Yanni often draws inspiration from the world around him to compose his songs. His piece, "Santorini" was notably inspired by the breathtaking volcanic Greek island of Santorini.

"Santorini" was recorded live at the Herodes Atticus Theatre in Athens in 1993. The following year, it was released as an album and live video - Yanni- Live at the Acropolis.

As you listen to this song, I hope that the soothing piano and orchestral accompaniment will calm your mind and lift your spirits.

  • Tune 2 - "Nostalgia"

"Nostalgia" by Yanni is a masterpiece that evokes a strong sense of wistfulness and longing.

Life gets busy, and memories can fade. While reminiscing on our past experiences, we often feel the strong urge and longing to recreate some of the fond memories we've had. Sometimes too, we might feel a tinge of regret or sadness for something lost.

These emotions are what Yanni skillfully weaved together in "Nostalgia", inviting listeners to reflect on life's precious moments.

"Nostalgia" is said to be one of Yanni's best seller album of all times, as it is recorded to be his most successful and popular albums both in Greece and abroad.

  • Tune 3: "Aria" (Ode To Humanity)

"Aria" by Yanni is a song inspired by a French opera called "Lakme by Leo Delibes". This song was originally written for a British Airways commercial.

Aria is not only a powerful piece, but one that evokes strong emotions, memories and sensations.
The beautiful operatic vocals, and the sweeping orchestral arrangement make "Aria" truly unforgettable. Talk about epic sound, "Aria" is it.

This is the best of Yanni's songs, for me.

And that's a wrap. I hope you enjoyed this sonic journey into the world of this king of Jazz, Yanni.

Which of the tunes resonated with you most? Please let me know. Thank you.

I'll see you next Tuesday for another musical adventure!
