In the eighties, songs were imposed, bands that were successful and released songs that today are heard and make us want to "take a foot". On the rhythm of salsa, Dominican merengue and disco music, which achieved the first places during the week in the biggest radio stations. Today they are music classics. During these years, I was a university student, a time of studies, books, beach, discos and "bonches", as we Venezuelans say to refer to parties.
Living in the university campus was not so easy because we were far from the city, even so, the "little town" where it was located. The people were very kind to the students. Many friends married and made a home with members of this community. You may wonder why I say, "it was located". Due to wrong decisions, the school of agronomy and zootechnics was moved to the center of the city of Maturin, because the teachers were tired of traveling.
I had already graduated when this happened and sometimes I remember the beauty of the university campus, the mango trees and the most famous manga bush, which was in the station where the planting and cultivation practices took place. Actually, I have never tasted a manga as delicious as this again. They say that to remember is to live, I want to leave in my memory what it was and not as they say it is today.
I made many friendships that today, despite the distance, we are still in contact. I remember them young with their inventions and craziness. OMG, my friend Caricuao, who lost his contact lenses and cleaned the residence where the party was to look for them. Ha, ha, ha, ha and he always found them. To friends Miguel and Luis, who gave serenades at the women's residence "Los Pinos". The queues at the surveillance to call the loved ones on the phone. Or when we used to close the gate so the teachers wouldn't pass by to take their exams.

The only place to dance was the Sucre Club, when they organized a mini-tequequeque war or a musical group. Wuao! While Beckyta studied and slept. La Paraulata would party with her friends, we would dance all night, usually alone or with boys from town, because the boys didn't dance. They would make any excuse, but the girls knew they didn't dance. We would leave the residences in groups, and most of the time the girls would return with our sandals in our hands, tired from dancing so much.
¡Epaaaaa!, dancing to the rhythm of merengue... And of all genres, salsa, vallenatos, disco. What mattered was to dance. Oh la la
I went through the trunk of memories to find the favorite songs of the Paraulata, I turn on my time machine, to go to the 80's and bring three songs of the Dominican merengue rhythm, which sounded during my student years, which I danced in this club, to participate in #Three Tune Tuesday with friend @ablaze.

Prepárense a bailar con la Paraulata oriental.
En los años ochenta, se impusieron canciones, bandas que fueron exitosas y lanzaron canciones que hoy se escuchan y nos dan ganas de “echar un pie”. Sobre el ritmo de salsa, merengue dominicano y música disco, que lograron los primeros lugares durante la semana en las mayores estaciones de radio. Hoy por hoy son clásicos de la música. Durante estos años, era estudiante universitaria, época de estudios, libros, de playa, discotecas y “bonches”, como decimos los venezolanos para referirnos a las fiestas.
Vivir en el campo universitario, no fue tan fácil porque estábamos lejos de la ciudad, aun así, el pueblito donde estaba ubicado. La gente era muy amable con los estudiantes. Muchos amigos y amigas, se casaron y formaron un hogar con miembros de esta comunidad. Se preguntarán, el porqué les digo: “estaba ubicado”. Por decisiones erradas, la escuela de agronomía y zootecnia, fue trasladada al centro de la ciudad de Maturín, motivado a que los profesores estaban cansados de viajar.
Ya había egresado cuando esto sucedió y a veces recuerdo la belleza del campo universitario, las matas de mango y la mata de manga más famosa, que estaba en la estación donde se llevaban a cabo las prácticas de siembras y cultivos. En realidad, no he vuelto a degustar una manga tan deliciosa como esta. Dicen que recordar es vivir, quiero dejar en mi memoria en lo que fue y no como dicen que es la actualidad.
Hice muchas amistades que hoy, a pesar de la distancia, todavía estamos en contacto. Los recuerdo jóvenes con sus inventos y locuras. OMG, al amigo Caricuao, que se le perdían los lentes de contacto y limpiaba la residencia donde fue la fista para buscarlos. Ja, ja, ja y siempre los encontraba. A los amigos Miguel y Luis, quienes daban las serenatas en la residencia femenina “Los Pinos”. Las colas en la vigilancia para llamar por teléfono a los seres queridos. O cuando cerrábamos el portón para que no pasaran los profesores a realizar los exámenes.

El único lugar para bailar era el Club Sucre, cuando organizaban guerra de minitecas o algún grupo musical. ¡Wuao! Mientras Beckyta estudiaba y dormía. La Paraulata se iba de fiesta con las amigas, bailábamos toda la noche, generalmente solas o chicos de pueblo, porque los muchachos no bailaban. Ponían cualquier excusa, pero ya las chicas sabían que no bailaban. Salíamos de las residencias en grupos, y la mayoría de las veces las chicas, regresábamos con las sandalias en las manos cansadas de tanto bailar.
¡Epaaaaa!, bailar al ritmo de merengue… Y de todos los géneros, salsa, vallenatos, disco. Lo que importaba era bailar. Oh la la

Revisé el baúl de los recuerdos para buscar las canciones preferidas de la Paraulata, prendo mi máquina del tiempo, para ir a los años 80 y traer tres canciones del ritmo merengue dominicano, que sonaban durante mis años de estudiante, que bailaba en este club, para participar en #Three Tune Tuesday con el amigo @ablaze.

Paraulata's favorite rhythm is merengue, and mine too. You may have already noticed #Music friends, all three songs are great to dance to tight and in a little brick. I dedicate this musical selection to my friends and classmates, who shared moments of joy and sadness at Jusepin's university campus. To my comadres, Maxi, and Irama. Also to Crucita, Miriam, Elizabeth, Emira, Wuao! and mainly to Paraulata, my partner.

I never heard again of this singer with such a beautiful voice. He simply vanished.

Paraulata
It is a bird, its colors, shades of gray and white, are not at all striking but when it sings its fine trill is melodious, varied and rich in harmonies. It is the Paraulata llanera, the name by which it is best known in Venezuela, although it inhabits several regions of the country. This songbird is also called Chuchube, in Falcón and surrounding areas, Zancalargo in Zulia and Chulinga, guaiquerí voice, in Nueva Esparta.
Es un ave, sus colores, tonos de grises y blanco, no son nada llamativos pero cuando canta su fino trino es melodioso, variado y rico en armonías. Es la Paraulata llanera, nombre con el que se le conoce más en Venezuela aunque habita en varias regiones del país. A esta ave canora se le llama también Chuchube, en Falcón y zonas aledañas, Zancalargo en el Zulia y Chulinga, voz guaiquerí, en Nueva Esparta.
One of my alter ego, is the oriental Paraulata because it is the area where I live. He plays cuatro, maraca and sings and makes oriental coplas.

It has been a while since I have attended any kind of bonche . This word refers to all kinds of celebrations. Weddings, birthdays, proms and poetry recitals are all bonches. In other countries, this word is more often used to describe crowds, sometimes even mobs, but in Venezuelan slang, bonche is reserved only for happy people and good times.
Hace tiempo que no asisto a ningún tipo de bonche . Esta palabra se refiere a todo tipo de celebraciones. Bodas, cumpleaños, bailes de graduación y recitales de poesía son todos bonches. En otros países, esta palabra se usa con más frecuencia para describir multitudes, a veces incluso turbas, pero en el argot venezolano, bonche se reserva solo para gente alegre y buenos momentos.
