Hello, musical community !!!
I think we will all coincide that there are songs that especially mark our lives, interpreters whose music we keep in some corner of the soul.That happens to me with Joan Manuel Serrat, to the point that I can not remember my childhood without Serrat being associated with one of my memoirs with Pablo Milanés: they were my first musical loves and I owe them much to who I am as I owe them poetry.
I remember that my mother always sang and my house was filled with beauty as the needle on the vinyl made me dream.
Thus I met great themes of the "Nano": "Mediterranean", "Those little things", "Pueblo Blanco", "Your name knows me to grass";or those included in the LP that dedicated to musicalize the texts of the poets Miguel Hernández and Antonio Machado.Of so many I always had a special connection with the nostalgia that "Lucía" transmits.
This issue is another of Serrat's melancholic screams.A song to frustrated love, an epistolary composition for a woman who built by force of verses and melancholy.
Lucia is a song of my soul and my soul returned gratitude in my daughter's name.
That's right, my baby is called Lucia as Serrat's and by Serrat.
Today I share this cover with you and with the illusion that my little Lucia, tomorrow, is able to cause love and verse.

Creo que todos coincidiremos en que existen canciones que marcan especialmente nuestras vidas, intérpretes cuya música guardamos en algún rincón del alma. Eso me sucede con Joan Manuel Serrat, a tal punto que no consigo recordar mi infancia sin que Serrat esté asociado con alguna de mis memorias junto a Pablo Milanés: ellos fueron mis primeros amores musicales y a ellos les debo mucho de quién soy como también les debo la poesía.
Recuerdo que mi madre cantaba siempre y mi casa se llenaba de belleza mientras la aguja sobre el vinilo me hacía soñar.
Así conocí grandes temas del "Nano": "Mediterráneo", "Aquellas pequeñas cosas", "Pueblo Blanco", "Tu nombre me sabe a yerba"; o los que fueran incluidos en los LP que dedicó a musicalizar los textos de los poetas Miguel Hernández y Antonio Machado. De tantos siempre tuve una conexión especial con la nostalgia que transmite "Lucía".
Este tema es otro de los gritos melancólicos de Serrat. Un canto al amor frustrado, una composición epistolar para una mujer que se construye a fuerza de de versos y melancolía.
Lucía es una canción de mi alma y mi alma le devolvió gratitud en el nombre de mi hija.
Así es, mi nena se llama Lucía como la de Serrat y por Serrat.
Hoy comparto este cover con ustedes y con la ilusión de que mi pequeña Lucía, mañana, sea capaz de provocar el amor y el verso.
Espero que disfruten de este homenaje a Serrat y a Lucía.
