Summertime (live cover) [Eng-Esp]

Hello musical community !!!

A week ago I was sharing a theme with live accompaniment, classic Brazilian music.And this week I return with another of the great themes in the history of jazz and blues: George Gershwin's Summertime.

I sang this cover on Wednesday morning in a space that was not the ideal given the environmental conditions in which it was recorded.But I think that this new version can be shared with all of you as a different arrangement, with this certain wink to the Cuban musical idiosyncrasy that prints the inclusion of three and the bongo.These instruments are commonly associated with the sound, however we dared to improvise this performance and now I share the result, a very rare, but valid, why not, way to revisit this iconic theme of American southern music that speaks of the yearning, in the temporal and social distance, for a better living condition.

Hola comunidad musical !!!

Hace una semana estuve compartiéndoles un tema con acompañamiento en vivo, clásico de la música brasilera. Y está semana vuelvo con otro de los grandes temas de la historia del jazz y el blues: el Summertime de George Gershwin.

Este cover lo canté en la mañana de este miércoles en un espacio que no era el ideal dadas las condiciones ambientales en las que fue grabado. Pero creo que esta nueva versión puede ser compartida con todos ustedes siendo un arreglo diferente, con este cierto guiño a la idiosincrasia musical cubana que le imprime la inclusión del tres y el bongó. Dichos instrumentos están comúnmente asociados con el son, sin embargo nos atrevimos a improvisar este performance y ahora les comparto el resultado, una muy rara,pero válida, por qué no, manera de revisitar este tema icónico de la música sureña norteamericana que habla del anhelo, en la distancia temporal y social, por una mejor condición de vida.
