The day of the twentieth anniversary of my marriage is approaching and considering what I offered you a week ago, I share another of the songs that I have composed to honor my wife and our love.
This one has a special story, because it was a challenge in space and time.
In 2021, I was attending a board meeting at the company I work for and it seemed like once again I would be going home without an anniversary present.
As my children grow, the demand becomes greater, because they also expect that, in some way, I will offer something special to their mother.
“19 y 25” emerged from a pleasant room for maneuver to start the composition: the number of years of marriage and the number of years of dating.
Having those two ideas as the main theme, I took advantage of the lunch break and the happy situation of having the guitar with me since December 2020 in the office to find the melody and put together the verses simultaneously, a few minutes before the packed food that we need will arrive had been commissioned for the occasion.
A good friend of mine, a co-worker at the time, encouraged me to accept and overcome the challenge that I imposed on myself and was the first to hear the song, even before I recorded it on my phone to send it to my wife.
The fun pacing also helped a lot to get me through it quickly and to my liking.
It sounds like an Afro-Caribbean rhythm and I am sure that, with a good arrangement and the accompaniment of appropriate instruments, it can become a more pleasant song than it is.
Finally, the vocalization is also different, almost like a whisper, since, after all, I was at the headquarters of the company I work for and I had to be as respectful as possible.

Ya se acerca el día del vigésimo aniversario de mi matrimonio y atendiendo, lo que les ofrecí hace una semana, comparto, otra de las canciones que he compuesto para honrar a mi esposa y a nuestro amor.
Ésta tiene una historia especial, porque fue un reto en espacio y tiempo.
En el 2021, me encontraba atendiendo una sesión de la junta directiva de la empresa en la que trabajo y parecía que una vez más, regresaría a mi hogar sin tener un regalo de aniversario.
En la medida que mis hijos crecen, la exigencia se torna mayor, pues ellos también esperan que, de alguna manera, le ofrezca algo especial a su mamá.
“19 y 25” surgió partiendo de un espacio de maniobra agradable para iniciar la composición: el número de años de casados y el número de años de novios.
Teniendo esas dos ideas como tema principal, aproveché el receso del almuerzo y la feliz situación de tener la guitarra conmigo desde diciembre de 2020 en la oficina para encontrar la melodía y armar los versos en simultáneo, pocos minutos antes que nos llegará la comida empacada que se había encargado para la ocasión.
Una gran amiga, compañera de trabajo en aquel entonces, me alentó a aceptar y superar el reto que me impuse a mí mismo y fue la primera que escuchó la canción, antes inclusive que la grabara en el teléfono para enviársela a mi señora.
El ritmo, divertido, también ayudó mucho a que la terminara rápidamente y a mi gusto.
Suena como ritmo afrocaribeño y estoy seguro de que, con un buen arreglo y el acompañamiento de instrumentos apropiados, se puede convertir ser una canción más agradable de lo que es.
Finalmente, la vocalización es también diferente, casi como un susurro, ya que, después de todo, me encontraba en la sede de la empresa en la que trabajo y debía ser lo más respetuoso posible.
Hola @mjcarvajalp gracias por compartir otra canción original, a mi me suena a un pop de los años 80 y me gusta por su estilo fresco. Gracias por cantar y también por contar la historia de tu canción, te podría recomendar darle un repaso a tu letra porque algunas palabras que dices al cantar distan de lo que escribiste, eso debe ser parte de la emoción al cantar una canción original (me ha pasado :)).
Te recomiendo añadir un banner a tu blog como tu firma, promover tu contenido en twitter para lograr más proyección e incluir etiquetas como music, musica que están íntimamente ligadas a tu contenido.
