¡Hola Hivers! Espero que se encuentren bien, yo de nuevo por acá. El día de hoy quisiera contarles una muy bonita experiencia que disfruté este pasado viernes, en la cual pude ser parte del equipo de producción de un concierto de música sinfónica.
Hi Hivers! I hope you are well, I am here again. Today I would like to tell you about a very nice experience I enjoyed this past Friday, in which I was part of the production team of a symphonic music concert.
Primeramente, para aquellos que no me conocen, deben saber que estudio Producción Musical, y a lo largo de mi carrera he tenido la oportunidad de producir eventos y grabaciones dentro de la misma universidad, pero en esta ocasión me invitaron a apoyar el concierto de la Orquesta Violeta Lárez, la cual nació de un proyecto de la universidad y está conformada por varios alumnos de la misma.
First of all, for those who don't know me, you should know that I study Music Production, and throughout my career I've had the opportunity to produce events and recordings within the same university, but this time I was invited to support the concert of the Violeta Lárez Orchestra, which was born from a project of the university and is made up of several students of the same.
Como les dije en el título esto fue algo inesperado, y ya les comentaré por qué: Ese viernes tenía clases en la universidad, y el concierto era a las 5pm, pero yo no iba a asistir porque no podía pagar la entrada del mismo, ya que era en el teatro Teresa Carreño; sin embargo, varios de mis amigos iban a participar, unos como músicos de la orquesta, y otros en el equipo de producción, llegué con ellos un rato al ensayo previo a la presentación y de repente me preguntaron, junto a una profesora encargada, si quería apoyarlos ya que les faltaba gente... al instante accedí, porque amo trabajar con ellos, pero ahí empezó la travesía, ya que no tenía almuerzo ni la ropa adecuada para estar ahí.
As I told you in the title this was something unexpected, and I'll tell you why: That Friday I had classes at the university, and the concert was at 5pm, but I wasn't going to attend because I couldn't pay the entrance fee, since it was at the Teresa Carreño theatre; however, several of my friends were going to participate, some as musicians of the orchestra, and others in the production team, I arrived with them for a while to the rehearsal before the presentation and suddenly they asked me, along with a teacher in charge, if I wanted to support them because they were short of people. ... I instantly agreed, because I love working with them, but that's when the journey began, since I didn't have lunch or the right clothes to be there.

Salí corriendo desde el teatro hacia mi casa, que gracias a Dios queda lo suficientemente cerca, llamé a mi hermano en el camino y le pedí que me ayudara a calentar la comida, llegué, planché mi camisa, tomé un baño, comí, me cambié y salí de nuevo hacia el teatro, aunque en el camino tuve que comprarle algo a otro amigo al que añadieron al equipo a último minuto, como a mí.
I ran from the theater to my house, which thank God is close enough, I called my brother on the way and asked him to help me heat up the food, I arrived, ironed my shirt, took a bath, ate, changed and left again for the theater, although on the way I had to buy something for another friend who was added to the team at the last minute, like me.
Llegué al teatro a las 3:40pm, mis amigos se alegraron de verme porque con lo que tardé creyeron que no llegaría, nos organizamos, repartimos las tareas entre todos, entregamos una merienda para los músicos, y esperamos a que empezara el concierto.
I arrived at the theater at 3:40pm, my friends were happy to see me because with how long it took me they thought I wouldn't arrive, we organized ourselves, distributed the tasks among all of us, delivered a snack for the musicians, and waited for the concert to begin.
Detras de Escena / Backstage
A mi me tocó encargarme de la microfonía, es decir, tenía que estar pendiente de cuando les tocaba a los cantantes salir a cantar para así colocarles el micrófono donde debían estar parados y, además, acercarles el atril para que ellos leyeran sus partituras. Por esta razón, debía estar en una puerta que estaba a un lado del escenario, para así poder entrar rápidamente a acomodar las cosas; aunque ahí no se escuchaba al 100% la presentación, todo fue increíble y hermoso.
I was in charge of the microphone, that is, I had to be aware of when it was the singers' turn so that I could place the microphone where they should stand and, in addition, bring the music stand close to them so that they could read their scores. For this reason, I had to be at a door that was on one side of the stage, so I could quickly enter to arrange things; although there you couldn't hear 100% of the presentation, everything was incredible and beautiful.

El concierto se llamó La Música y el Cine 5.0, en el cual tocaron un repertorio amplio con varias piezas pertenecientes a los soundtracks de películas de renombre, entre esas estuvieron:

The concert was called La Música y el Cine 5.0, in which they played a wide repertoire with several pieces belonging to the soundtracks of renowned films, among those were:

- Memoirs of a Geisha
- Cinema Paradiso
- Fantasia (Disney)
- Anastasia
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Schindler's List
- The Ecstasy of Gold
- Titanic
- Chihiro's Journey
La Orquesta en escena / The orchestra on stage
La verdad fue una experiencia increíble, las veces que he trabajado con la orquesta para mí han sido fantásticas, y siempre quedo con ganas de seguir junto a ellos.
Truth is that it was an incredible experience, the times I have worked with the orchestra have been fantastic for me, and I always want to continue working with them.
Luego del concierto, guardamos algunos de los instrumentos de percusión, recogimos algunas carpetas que los músicos dejaron en los atriles, y salimos al estacionamiento... donde empezamos a organizar a dónde iríamos, porque queríamos celebrar, o como decimos en Venezuela, rumbear jajaja, y terminamos decidiendo ir a mi casa, éramos un grupo pequeño así que no había inconveniente, pero primero recorrimos casi media caracas buscando donde comprar para tomar y comer.
After the concert, we put away some of the percussion instruments, picked up some folders that the musicians left on the music stands, and went out to the parking lot... where we started to organize where we would go, because we wanted to celebrate, or as we say in Venezuela, rumbear hahaha, and we ended up deciding to go to my house, we were a small group so there was no inconvenience, but first we traveled almost half of Caracas looking for where to buy to drink and eat.

La pasamos súper fino, el concierto fue hermoso, y fue un día bastante diferente, sobretodo porque yo no había tenido oportunidad de llevar a mis amigos así a mi casa, y me alegró que la pasáramos tan bien.
We had a great time, the concert was beautiful, and it was a very different day, especially because I hadn't had the opportunity to bring my friends over to my house like this, and I was glad that we had such a good time.
