Greetings!
Today I wanted to write a review for a completely different studio disc, but I am still thinking about the recently listened album of musicians whom my generation and I still respect (of course, I mean the first studio works).
Let me remind you that the full-length release of the group Limp Bizkit "Still Sucks" is the first work of the guys in the last ten years. I'm sure many people were waiting for this event, but I'm not sure that the musicians themselves wanted to present the fans with material worthy of expectations.
In spite of all the musical experience of these guys, the fifth disc turned out to be kind of ... insipid and it is generally unclear why this material was released.
I have not heard a single song on the album that reaches the title of a hit. After the release of the single “Dad Vibes” I had a bad feeling and it didn’t let me down. There are only a few numbers on the tracklist that at least remotely tell us that Limp Bizkit can still do good stuff. Acoustic compositions "Don't Change" and "Empty Hole" are a clear imitation of ourselves, and a little unsuccessful at that. Of course, there are some good riffs and even the atmosphere of the band is present, however, there is very little of all that for which I fell in love with Limp Bizkit in this record.
The length of the tracks is also depressing. Some songs do not even reach the two minute mark, which gives the impression that the guys have released unfinished, unpolished material that has been gathering dust somewhere on the far shelf for years.
All in all. I expected signature drive nu-metal from Limp Bizkit, but it was a 32-minute tracklist with a rather indistinct content. I'm not sure if I will ever return to this work at all, since I don't see any point in this. I do not impose my opinion on anyone, I just voiced it.
