ALBUM REVIEW. Rob Zombie - The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy (2021)

in Music3 years ago

Honestly, I have not followed the musical work of this musician for a long time, as well as his directorial career, although at times I catch myself thinking that in vain. He has great releases that deserve the attention of fans of industrial, drive and horror. A few words this time about his new recording titled "The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy".

The album does not stand out for its innovations. The musician does not experiment with genre elements and still adds a jumble of horror stories and nerve-racking effects. And even if all this is not new and expected, this is exactly what the album wins. The record is filled with unique energy that Rob Zombie has managed to maintain over the years.

The studio album was recorded with Rob Zombie, John 5, Piggy D and Ginger Fish - all the same guys who participated in the recording of the previous two works. Separately, I would like to highlight the guitar parts, for which John 5 is responsible. There are many cool guitar riffs on "The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy".

Of the shortcomings, I would single out the presence of a large number of inserts - instrumental etudes that constantly confuse the listener. However, if you wish, you can always skip them and enjoy exclusively the songs themselves.

The album is catchy, atmospheric and good even with its flaws. It's a cool recording in the classic Rob Zombie style. And if you love industrial, this is a must listen.
