Lindo no?.
This song was born in 1956 and was released by Los Tres Caballeros, a trio made up of Cantoral, Chamin Correa and Leonel Gálvez, who was very famous for songs like La Barca, When I return to your side, Ausencia and many more. There is a version that Clock was composed one night when Roberto Cantoral was taking care of his wife, who was hospitalized for a serious illness, whose prognosis was not positive at all, so full of sadness, he took a pencil and paper and wrote those beautiful words, in which he practically begs for time to stop and thus keep his beloved… Cute, isn't it? But wait a minute, we have to tell you something in this moment of tenderness… The song Reloj was not written by Roberto Cantoral, for his convalescent wife, but his muse was someone else. The true story of this song places Los Tres Caballeros in Washington D.C, after a very successful tour of American lands, during said tour, Cantoral had started a romance and well, it was time to return to Mexico, so things had to end.
