My name is Ashley. I'm a singer-songwriter / multi-instrumentalist who is self-taught on several instruments as well as formally educated on my principal instrument, which is the fretless bass guitar. This is an original bass-heavy Psychedelic Blues / Muscle Shoals R&B / Southern Soul song that I wrote, arranged, performed, recorded and produced in hopes of contributing to the healing of souls and the elevation of planetary consciousness. I created the video by melding scraps of footage marked "fair-use" that I found by searching the Internet Archive. For that reason, the visuals have a low-res old school vibe that I think suits the song well. As a bassist, I serve mostly as a "sideman" in bands, but I have released two full-length albums and a pair of singles as a solo artist, all of which can be freely downloaded at my website.
