Hi, all my dear friends. Good afternoon, and I wish you continued health. We are both “The People People”, an acoustic band on Hive Platform to share the songs we both play. I'm Samuel Stifen a guitarist and my friend Frans as a vocalist. Once a week, we will be present in the Hive Music community to present the acoustic versions of the songs we play. We hope you like it and will find it entertaining here.

On this occasion, Frans and I will perform a cover song from a legendary music group that is so famous in Indonesia now. The music group is Dewa 19. One of our favorite songs that we will be playing today is "Pupus". Many great musicians also performed covers of this song with different genres. This song became nostalgia for me when I was in junior high school. When I was in middle school, I often heard this song.

This song was written by Ahmad Dhani, a famous musician and founder of the Dewa19 music group. This song was released in 2002 on the album "Love Love". This song also tells about someone who really loves his girlfriend. But after a long time, he realized that his love only went one way. In other words, her lover doesn't love her. That's how a person's love story is.

Indonesian Lyric

“Aku tak mengerti, apa yang kurasa
rindu yang tak pernah begitu hebatnya
aku mencintaimu lebih dari yang kau tau
meski kau takkan pernah tau

aku persembahkan hidupku untukmu
telah ku relakan, hatiku padamu
namun kau masih bisu, diam seribu bahasa
dan hati kecilku bicara

baru kusadari cintaku bertepuk sebelah tangan
kau buat remuk sluruh hatiku

semoga aku akan memahami sisi hatimu yang beku
semoga akan datang keajaiban hingga kaupun mau

aku mencintaimu lebih dari yang kau tau
meski kau takkan pernah tau”

English Lyric

“I don't understand, what I think
miss that was never so great
I love you more than you know
even though you'll never know

I dedicate my life to you
I have given up, my heart to you
but you are still mute, silent in a thousand languages
and my little heart is talking

I just realized that my love is unrequited
you break my whole heart

I hope I will understand the frozen side of your heart
I hope a miracle will come until you want it

I love you more than you know
even though you'll never know”

From the lyrics, we can imagine how heartbreak and sadness feel in the chorus. Love stories with sadness are a favorite of many people because feelings of being hurt or hurt can be represented through song lyrics. The chorus part of the song is repeated at the end, up to three times after a long interlude filled with a guitar melody that is also very iconic. The complete picture of the pain of one-way love is depicted through the lyrics of this song.

That's all I can tell you. Thank you very much for visiting my post. I hope you are entertained by the musical performances that we provide. Below we also include a link from their youtube video if you want to listen to the song from the original version. Thank you and nice to meet you.
