there isn't a whole lot to be said about this one… well, i guess there is a lot that could be said, but not a lot that i’m looking to say. it is just a classic americana tune that i feel a lot of people will recognize. one of my favorite grateful dead songs, but also one of my favorite songs in general. for me, it evokes feelings of adventure, and a desire to live dangerously. making deals with the devil and leaving women in different cities, one that may have your child may not be the lifestyle for everyone, and to most it may not sound like fun, but something about it feels very romanticized in this song.
the perfect song to listen to as the weather starts to get warmer, with the windows down.... and make sure to turn it up loud :)
would love to see others join in on the fun of a friday cover song... i know this gives me something to look forward to, and all of this activity on the hive is encouraging me to learn new music as well as practice my singing more and more. as always, all feedback is encouraged, and do let me know your thoughts on the song.
