New Tunes 7.3.2025

Hello music friends! 🎢

It's a sunny Friday here!
#newtunes, selection of fresh songs, 8th this year, brings us new music to listen to for the weekend and beyond. Lesser-known and new music projects want to enchant us with their melodies. Time will tell whether they will manage to stay longer and buzz in our heads.

Eight songs of different genres resonated in my ears for the longest time, I worked in the orchard and the field all week. If you have a few minutes, you can indulge yourself. You might even like something, be surprised, and look for more.
If you don't like something, skip it.

🎡 🎧 🎡

Yves Jarvis - One Gripe

Singer, songwriter, and producer Yves Jarvis hails from Quebec, Canada. He has been performing in various musical projects since 2012 and has released five albums independently, the last one being All Cylinders, released a week ago.
Pop soul, light and refreshing, reminds me a bit of Prince.

🎡 🎧 🎡

Deep Sea Diver - Emergency

Deep Sea Diver is a Seattle trio that released its fourth album, Billboard Heart, last week. It is the first for SubPop (also from Seattle; it used to be independent, but now it's for the 1%; 49% is Warner Bross).
Regardless, I still find indie music from there enjoyable, and Deep Sea Diver has something to say about pure rock 'n' roll.
I'll be following them because I like their sound.
Sometimes, it reminds me of the old Sonic Youth and many other sounds. I recommend the whole album.

🎡 🎧 🎡

Panda Bear - Ferry Lady

Noah Benjamin Lennox, or Panda Bear, is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is probably better known as one of the founders of Animal Collective. He has lived and worked in Lisbon for many years.
As Panda Bear, he has released ten albums, the last one, Sinister Grif, in January. His psychedelic electro-pop is the sound of summer and warmth. Someone called him "Beach Boys on acid."
I recommend the whole album.

🎡 🎧 🎡

Pink Must - Morphe Sun

Pink Must is an electronic duo, a project of two female artists from Brooklyn, New York. It's a new name for me. They just released their debut album, called 's/t.'
Like the Brooklyn underground, it features many analog and electronic sounds, dramatic samples from music history, from laid-back guitars to dissonant glitch and drone, and lost dreamers in a world of sounds and melodies.
I'll follow them if there's anything else.

🎡 🎧 🎡

The Men - At The Movies

The Men are a punk band from New York, playing dirty garage rock'n'roll since 2008. They have released a few singles, an EP, and ten albums. The latest, Buyer Beware, was released in February. The punch and crunch of primal punk rock'n'roll with sneering vocals and a catchy guitar.
I recommend the whole album to all fans (including me) for one good dose of this band.

🎡 🎧 🎡

bdrmm - Lake Disappointment

Bdrmm is an English band from Hull, UK; they have been performing since 2016 and have released about 20 singles and 3 albums. They started out with a shoegaze style. I mentioned them once
Their latest album, Lake Disappointment, from which the single of the same name was released in February, has even more electronica than on their previous albums, minimal techno with gothic touches. Technical flawlessness and wild imagination. Witty and satirical amid the dark times we live in. The band is evolving, both musically and visually. in #newtunes last year.

🎡 🎧 🎡

Jason Isbell - Foxes in the Snow

Jason Isbell is like a troubadour. Since 1995, he has been roaming the stages of folk, southern rock, Americana, or, to generalize, country. His latest album, Foxes in the Snow, is out today, and if you're a fan of this sound, you probably won't be disappointed.
I mean, his sound is very similar to Jorma Kaukonen and Hot Tuna, but they are an older generation of troubadours.

🎡 🎧 🎡

Lagartijeando - Guinea Congo

Lagartijeando, or Mati Zundel, is an Argentine musician and producer currently working in Cholula, Mexico, in the so-called folktronica, or Latin-American mood. His latest album, 7 Caminos, was released today and is not unusual. Melodic and sunny, summer is coming too fast, take care :)

🎢That's all for today, and enjoy your weekend with new songs!

I always do this when I curate, and many people have confirmed that they voted for the proposal. But I didn't go to check. 😎
This seems to me to be the most effective

I've been trying to watch to see who is voting and sending DMs to some accounts requesting votes. I
