Cool. If I like something, I usually never wonder if it's jazz because contemporary music is very intertwined. However, many examples exist of incorporating different folk elements and combining them with all genres.

I've also come across many examples, especially of music from Belgium (usually Brussels), which is very multicultural and mixes modern genres with traditional African sounds because the performers come from there. Their approach reminds me of the band Brama I mentioned in the last #newtunes, where psychedelic rock is based on traditional Occitan folk music; they even sing in that version of French.

I found it exciting from the very beginning as well. However, I wasn't really sure whether it would live up to the criteria I consider important for jazz to be interpreted. Nevertheless, it's too good to be ignored.
