Today I took a stab at a second livestream . I had a few goals in mind before starting.
First I wanted to find out if an unlisted stream would be broadcast out to people that subscribe to me or if unlisted would just affect the visibility to people who don’t subscribe.
It didn’t send out to anyone. But I shared it as a threadcast on InLeo, and a few people joined me. Thanks to @forkyishere and @solymi for staying for a while and to @khantaimur, @ravenmus1c and @carephree for popping in to say hi!!
The second goal was to get comfortable balancing my attention between music and being on camera. I find it extremely difficult to be able to balance various things, especially when other people are watching. It’s not so much insecurity as trying to be a good host. I have to remind myself not to get too hung up on who is watching and just do my thing, otherwise it’s not natural, but I also need to remember to check the chat.
The third was to practice a few of these different aspects of the music. There’s a huge difference between playing acoustic unplugged and electric guitar, especially with effects. Effects have a ton of different settings and the levels interact with each other differently. Then each pedal interacts with each other pedal differently. Then there’s the sound of the room, which I’m not entirely used to when playing electric. I don’t use a microphone with my voice because I don’t have the equipment. Finally, everything is picked up by the camera so I need to figure out how to reduce ugly feedback and make things sound clear.
It’s gonna take a while to get used to all of this.
The last goal was to see who if anyone would be interested from posting it as a threadcast. But even just two people watching the majority of the stream made it really fun, and I think if I advertise it a little bit beforehand it could draw more people.
I plan on turning this into a semi regular thing. It’s difficult for me to schedule it before hand, but at the very least I’ll make the thread cast before hand and tell everyone at least an hour previous. I’ll share the link in a few places.
Once I get a little more comfortable I’ll start making the videos public so that it will be sent out to YouTube subscribers. From there I’ll start mentioning the threadcast and hopefully we can bring a few new people to Hive.
Eventually I plan to share with friends on social media too. That will make it really hopping because many of them are already familiar with my music 😊
Here’s the stream, a happy mess:
Chat and Jam #1 (sloppy jams, getting used to the flow and camera )
I plan on streaming from my music account in the future but I need 17 more subscribers there! Feel free to subscribe:

I am glad people said hi. I tried to share your threadcast a few times. I think it helped a little. Good experimental stream I would say. Porbably the timing could be different so you have more active users.
Thanks! You definitely made it more fun! Hope you can stop by next time 🌞🌞
Excellent streaming , some cool music to listen to right on time so I subscribed you. Hopefully, you have more active subscribers.
Haha, love the honesty in this man. You'll figure it out as you go 🔥🔥💪💪💪 it's the the best way to do it and I'm very positive those 17 subscribers will increase to thousands one day
