RE: Writing Music Challenge - Dire Straits - Telegraph Road from the album Love Over gold

in Music4 years ago (edited)

She would be about 70 now and possibly still worth a dabble.......

Aw come on.. that's 'stretching' things a little far, that stretch bloke is probably still knocking about and nobbing her.

As for your tune, I remember Private Investigations hitting number 2, it was a strange single, but I bought it and liked it.

Telegraph Road is one hell of an epic. A lovely creepy intro that meanders in and out of sections.. loved it then and recently heard it again after remembering about it.

I'm not a big fan of Dire Straits, though I had all their CD's once, which I got in some swap deal with 'Walrus Breath' from The Slobberchops Piracy Chronicles..

Walk of Life.. fuck off, what a load of crap. Money for Nothing, the intro is great.. after that.. hmmm...

Sort:

You're bang on about the whole Brothers in Arms album that came later. Apart from the title track which is forever associated with Miami Vice, the whole album was Euro Pop nonsense.
Anyway, cheers for this and I look forward to your next musical challenge :-)
