[ESP/ENG] El día en que Freddy Mercury vino a Venezuela 🇻🇪🕺🏻| The day Freddy Mercury came to Venezuela

Hola a toda la comunidad de hive, espero se encuentren super bien en casita. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un video que realice a cerca del día en que el afamado y talentoso FREDDY MERCURY y la banda QUEEN aterrizaron en suelo venezolano para dar un gran concierto en el Poliedro de Caracas, asi que sin más que decir, estare compartiendo algunos detalles extras referentes a este histórico momento.

Hello to all the hive community, I hope you are doing great at home. Today I want to share with you a video I made about the day the famous and talented FREDDY MERCURY and the band QUEEN landed on Venezuelan soil to give a great concert at the Poliedro de Caracas, so without more to say, I will be sharing some extra details about this historic moment.

En primer lugar este momento se dió bajo la presidencia del abogado Luis Herrera Campins en 1981 y por supuesto bajo la producción de Enzo Morera y la organización "Parade" quienes fueron los responsables de toda la organización del evento. La banda británica durante su estadía en venezuela se alojó en el hotel "Paseo Mercedes" ubicado específicamente en la autopista prados del este distrito capital.

In the first place this moment took place under the presidency of the lawyer Luis Herrera Campins in 1981 and of course under the production of Enzo Morera and the organization "Parade" who were responsible for the entire organization of the event. The British band during their stay in Venezuela stayed at the Paseo Mercedes Hotel located specifically in the Prados Highway in the capital district.

Las entradas del concierto fueron consideradas algo costosas para la época ya que inicialmente tenia un costo de 120 Bs y terminó en 125 Bs, el cual, un porcentaje seria donado a la fundación ortopédica infantil. El periodista y locutor Alfredo Escalante apodado El duente azul fue el responsable y además el afortunado de entrevistar a toda la banda, presentándolos en español y en varias oportunidades con un traductor de por medio ya que los integrantes de la banda no hablaban casi el español.

The concert tickets were considered somewhat expensive for the time, initially costing 120 Bs and ended up at 125 Bs, a percentage of which would be donated to the children's orthopedic foundation. The journalist and announcer Alfredo Escalante, nicknamed El Duente Azul, was the responsible and also the lucky one to interview the whole band, presenting them in Spanish and in several opportunities with a translator since the members of the band did not speak almost no Spanish.

Un dia antes del concierto (27 de septiembre) la banda pudo disfrutar junto a su equipo personal del turismo que ofrecía la capital en ese entonces quedando todos sumamente encantados por la ciudad y ademas por el gentilicio. Finalmente al dia siguiente luego de ejecutar los últimos detalles del concierto Queen salio al escenario realizando un espectáculo de talla mundial donde disfrutaron miles de venezolanos fanáticos del buen Rock. Hubo partes del concierto donde algunos de los integrantes se dirigieron al publico en español haciendo que la multitud enloqueciera aún más.

The day before the concert (September 27th) the band was able to enjoy with his personal team the tourism offered by the capital at that time, being all extremely enchanted by the city and also by the people. Finally the next day after executing the last details of the concert Queen went on stage performing a world-class show where thousands of Venezuelan fans of good Rock enjoyed. There were parts of the concert where some of the members addressed the audience in Spanish making the crowd go even crazier.

Finalmente luego de dos horas y 25 éxitos de la banda el concierto terminó con normalidad dejando al público eufórico de haber vivido esa experiencia. Posteriormente la banda tomó vuelo de retorno a su destino y nunca más piso territorio venezolano, siendo este evento algo histórico para nuestro país. A partir de allí la banda multiplico su éxito y son considerados en la actualidad una de las mejores bandas del mundo, y específicamente Freddy Mercury luego de su muerte uno de los mejores cantantes de la historia.

Finally after two hours and 25 hits of the band the concert ended normally leaving the audience euphoric for having lived that experience. Later the band flew back to their destination and never again set foot on Venezuelan territory, being this event something historic for our country. From then on, the band multiplied their success and are considered today one of the best bands in the world, and specifically Freddy Mercury after his death, one of the best singers in history.
