Hi friends of Hive!
A few days ago, talking to a friend, she told me that she was watching a Youtube video where its content is based on inviting artists to talk about the playlist of their life, I matched that here in Venezuela, on the radio a very well known announcer did something similar. He had interviews with some personality and during the talk they would play songs indicating moments that connected with his life, but he would add a touch of a message from a friend or family member.
So, talking about all this, what we thought about this exercise of self-knowledge through songs, if it was to some extent therapeutic, for my part, being a person with a bad memory, to be able to bring back to the present that memory of my childhood or adolescence through different melodies or beats. Let's say it was a few hours exchanging different points of view.

I went to get paper and pencil to get down to work and put together the playlist of my life, since I'm all about connecting moments with songs. Actually, this exercise is about choosing 8 songs and telling why they are important or what moment reminds me of them. This process was crazy! Hahahahaha first of all because I said: ok, there are only 8 songs, but, they are few hahahahahaha I got to write down more than 30 songs. So, I had to focus very well and really choose with tweezers those 8 pieces that marked my life for precise reasons.
The result blew my mind. Putting that list together, in turn, listening to that playlist of my life was Wow!

My history, that vision I had at other times, in retrospect, the maturity with which I currently overcome certain problems, how I have grown, points to improve and yes, some wounds that with specific songs are still there without healing. Also, it is curious because, as I jump from different musical genres, but, predominantly very moving music, high tones and without seeing coming Boom that sounds Nada es para siempre by Luis Fonsi. Do I recommend this exercise? Absolutely YES.
I leave the list of the 8 songs that I ended up placing in the top and I comment a little bit about them:

This is a hymn when my dad played music in the house. At that time, I lived in San Antonio de los Altos and there is a fixed memory in my mind, playing this song one weekend, that cold characteristic of the area with a fog that was little appreciated the mountains, just sharing a while with my sister and my parents in the living room. Uf automatic that this left a smile on my face.
A Mafer of about 9 years old watching Mexican novels and discovering Gloria Trevi hahahahahaha I loved Gloria's outfit in that video, the tunes and that husky rock voice she has, she won me as a fan since I heard that peculiar “Voy a traer el pelo suelto, voy a ser siempre como quiero”.
Traveling by car without this great song was not a trip. This song and my mom singing at the top of her lungs, the good vibes it transmits and without counting the times it was repeated in a loop is to take me back to every destination we went to. Beautiful.
Adolescence at its maximum expression and of course, the song to be played at all my friends' 15th birthday parties (my 15th was no exception) where my time of parties (night club) began. How many forbidden steps with this song hahahaha.
Starting college (long after this song came out) I understood the lyrics. And it is that, those moments where you scratch subjects, you question life, you don't even know if you really like what you are studying and you take some time to look around you, that amount of 20 or more friends from college, maybe 2 or 3 you are still in contact, was when I took sense what this song says
This song, by itself, could be a post. I'll just leave the mention.
Wow, this song has been a resurgence. Nothing like knowing the song, downloading it and listening to it just when I was in a moment so feeling down, at full volume, going up the caracas - la guaira, looking the sea and with a beautiful sunset. That memory is super captured
Theme to sing at the top of your lungs and tattooed phrase "Live a life you will remember" Enjoy life to the fullest, intensely, but, above all, as you want to live it, look back and say I did what I wanted.
Bonus
With this song, I said "I learned to dance merengue" hahahahahaha Pd. My teacher was my mom. To be able to keep up with her, the rhythm and the turns was something spectacular for me.
