That does sound a little low. I did try one tune that called for drop-C. That made for a very floppy string.

I play in drop C all the time and that's probably my favorite tuning ever.
With this song, I was tuned down to F# B E A D F# B which I won't be doing again anytime soon, lol. Also, happy new years to you as well!
