Getting your guitar bends in tune could mean the difference between sounding pro or sounding like a hobbyist.
In an audio based art, it makes sense that spending some real, quality time improving your ears will pay off many times over in the long run!
One way to do this with guitar bends is to first play the note you’re trying to bend to, then hold that pitch in your mind, and now try to match the pitch with a bend.
You could also use a tuner when you bend to make sure you’re bending to the right pitch. Make sure those bends hit exactly in tune on your tuner! Train your ears to hear when it’s in tune!
Either way, it’s a technique that requires a lot of practice and patience, but when you get it, it will improve your sound dramatically!
