Man this is a really informative video! Too bad I haven't played many guitars in my life so I don't really now what I actually prefer. As you know, I have two epiphones that are basically the same guitar but with a different shape 😅
I would like to spend a whole day in a guitar store, trying many types of neck profiles and pickup. I'm just afraid of bothering the staff too much and then buy nothing 🙈
About the strings, I used Elixyr once and really like it! You can really feel the quality under your fingers. But because they're too expensive now I'm using d'addario and I find them better than Ernie ball. Because I'm not a shredder but I also don't have much power in my fingers, I tend to use an hybrid scale, 46-9 so I can bend easily but my low string sound pretty big.
Anyway, I got the new parts to customise my Firebird! Soon I'll make the video about it 😎
Great to hear this man!:) Ah dude, spending all day in a guitar store is a lot of fun, and many people try out a load and do not buy :) I have gone back to 10s now on my Les Paul and 9s on other guitars with a longer scale. Oh sweet man! Excited to see the upgrades on your Firebird! I'd love a Firebird, or an Explorer - one of those will be my next :)
