How to get started making Guitar Videos on a Budget

in Musicyesterday

I wanted to go through my setup! I have used the same setup (near enough) for the entirety of my YouTube "career" so I can say, it's holding up! I discuss the costs to get started, along will all essential equipment. I focus on the whole setup, from mic, DI box, DAW, laptop, camera, aesthetic, lighting, sounds, and laptops. The only thing I do not discuss is, the guitars! I also talk about what issues I run into having a fairly cheap setup. Hopefully this helps a few of you get going!

Note that prices are in NEW ZEALAND DOLLARS! $100NZD = 50GBP = 60USD (VERY rough estimates...) My TOTAL estimated cost of everything (including Laptop and Focusrite) is around $750 NZD, or around 325GBP, or say 420USD. That is cheap, and providing you buy a used reconditioned laptop, new ones are pricey these days. Mine is a 2018 Acer Swift 3. My Focusrite is 2018, so actually, if you buy that used you could save another $100+
